I readied myself to spend the day with Kaoru. My hair was tied up with a blue ribbon. Since it was hot out, I wore my dark blue capris, with a green strapless tank top which was underneath a jean like tank top only with straps. I grabbed my leather purse that crossed my chest and headed to the park. I sat on the swing closer to the bar, waiting for Kaoru. Looking down at my hands, I heard footsteps approach.

"Kaoru, I almost thought you weren't going to show." I laughed, looking up. I was surprised to find that it was Hikaru instead of Kaoru. He was wearing long sleeves under a sweatshirt. Along with shorts, so his outfit was confusing.

"Kaoru couldn't make it. He said he wasn't feeling well, so he asked me to go." Hikaru said to me.

I gave him a smile. "Well, then I'm glad you took his place."

Hikaru seemed annoyed to be here. I was thinking, maybe it's because of my childhood friend that I saw yesterday.

"Hikaru, I don't want any hard feelings between us. Yesterday, that boy was just a friend. I promise you that nothing more has or ever will happen. You have nothing to worry about." I reached forward and gently touched his arm.

"I'm not worried about that boy! I don't care about him or you!" He roughly said, pulling his arm away.

"Fine. Why did you come?" I asked, holding back tears.

Hikaru looked at me. You could see he hadn't meant what he said, but Hikaru wanted to seem strong. "I told you, Kaoru was sick, so he sent me."

I scoffed. "Yeah, because someone can get sick over just one night. If you want to leave, you can. I guess I don't care. You said it yourself that you don't."

Taking the swing next to me, Hikaru had soft eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that stuff."

I smiled that he admitted his mistake. "It's okay. Everyone gets jealous."

"I was not jealous!" Hikaru whined.

"You were too." I chuckled. "Hikaru, it's okay to get jealous only if you know why you are jealous. Do you know why you were jealous?"

Hikaru huffed. "I was jealous because of your old guy friend. He acted like he's known you forever. I'm your friend. Not him."

I nodded and blushed. "So you're jealous because an old friend was being friendly. That's really cute."

"It's not cute."

Jumping off the swing, I turned to Hikaru. "Are you ready to spend the rest of your day with me?" I excitedly questioned.

"Of course."

I gripped his hand and pulled him off the swing. "First, I'm a little hungry." I pull him towards all the food trucks by the market. "What would you like?"

Hikaru looks at the trucks. "You want to eat here?" He asks with concern.

"What's wrong with here? That taco truck has the best tacos!! You need to try one." I drag him closer to the taco truck. "Everything is homemade. They are amazing!"

Hikaru groaned, but he had no choice in this situation. I ordered two tacos for us two. In the meantime, I made Hikaru find a table for us to sit at. He didn't look excited when I came walking over with the plates that held our tacos.

"Stop being a baby and deal with it," I told Hikaru, handing him his taco.

"I'm not used to lower class food." He said, picking at the taco.

"And I'm not used to rude higher up boys." I snapped back.

Hikaru looks at me with wide eyes. "Touché."
