In the mortal world, Eve sprung out of bed grinning, clutching her notebook on her nightstand. She saw him again; she saw him in her dreams. The Prophet was his name: sometimes he would use Andy. She gasps and tries to remember what he had told her. He sat down with her in her head and told her many things she wanted to know.

"This world is plagued by people called F.E.A.R. You are the antidote," she remembered him saying.

"I love you, Eve. I love you to hell and back. When I'm fighting, eating, working, sleeping, and thinking--it's always for you."

Eve sits back against her bed frame, tossing and turning through her notebook pages. She had created a beautiful world thanks to the guru voice in her head called The Prophet. There was a world called the afterlife. There were people named F.E.A.R. in his world, she assumed, that were horrible tyrants. They wanted the control of everyone and everything. The Church of The Wild Ones planned to destroy the Church of F.E.A.R. There were people like Jophiel and Serpentine whom existed in that world; there were people like Azura, The Deviant, The Mourner, The Destroyer, and The Mystic. They all tried to protect her, but for what?

There were drawings of soldiers, church members, people she hated and loved, all in the booklet.

Eve looks over at the time, 5:30. It was time to get up and get ready for school, anyways. She'll draw later.

Getting up from bed, she groggily snakes her way to the bathroom down the hall. She slides in without waking her parents: a miracle. She turns on the light and plugs in the straightener. She lets it heat up as she pulls her makeup bag from the cabinet, setting it down on the counter. She uses the toilet, as always. She then pins her hair back and begins throwing on makeup. She puts on moisturizer, concealer, foundation, powder, eyeliner, and nude lipgloss. Simple. She takes the pins out her hair and grabs the straightening iron. She burns her hair, pressing the two plates together and allowing smoke to rise from the heated plates. Once all her hair was absolutely perfect, she gets dressed. Throwing on any black-on-black she could find, she looked like a daredevil.

As she pranced downstairs, something seemed off. Her father was up, just like normal, making breakfast for the family of three. Her mother was upstairs, probably slapping makeup on and fixing her hair to perfection. Eve's mom was a businesswoman, and a great one at that. She was the only breadwinner of the family.

"How are you this morning?" her father happily grins. He stands above the pan he is using; the smell of sizzling bacon rising from the stove.

"All right," answers back Eve. She eyes her father's stubby beard, wondering why he had so suddenly decided to grow one. His brunette hair flowed delicately, and Eve wondered why her hair was a dark ebony. Her mother's hair color was blond, but she did have Eve's blue eyes. Eve sometimes wondered if she even came from the two of them.

Eve's mother appears from the stairwell, pushing down her businesswoman attire in an attempt to brush out any wrinkles. "Good morning," she sounds, happier than normal. Eve knew something was fishy about her tone.

Regardless, Evelyn grabs a plate from the cabinets, heading over to the platter of scrambled eggs and helping herself with copious amounts. "Good morning, Mom."

The mother figure smiles at at her daughter, loving it when she was happy. The mother knew she had no time to chitchat, though.

Quickly, she makes her way over to the fridge, grabbing a chocolate-flavored protein shake. She would drink this in the car. She was already running dangerously late. She was praying that at least the traffic wouldn't be too bad.

"I'm already running late," Eve's mom groans, kissing her husband on the cheek as he keeps his attention to the bacon. "Goodbye, sweeties," she says, hugging Eve in one swift motion. "Remember," she echoes upon reaching the door, "after school, we go shopping since I get off early. Cool?"
