Eve makes her way down the hall, still holding the key in her hand. She bites her lip, looking around to make sure no soldiers are around.
"Keep walking, Evelyn. Head to the small chapel to pray."
She does not question her god, and walks to the chapel, closing the doors behind her. She drops the key off in a pew, and walks down the center aisle. She sits herself in a pew, looking down at her clothes. She was in a horrible condition, and it made her cringe.
"Speak to me, child. Pray to me. What do you wish to know?"
"Who exactly are you?" she inquires, folding her hands and bowing her head.
"The real question is, who exactly are you?"
"Well, I don't seem to have the answer for that. All I know is that my name is Evelyn Rayne Black, and my soul is split in two."
"Well said. Then, ask me anything of the afterlife. I assure you I will answer."
"Who is on the council? Who runs F.E.A.R.? Is it Serpentine? Does she hate me?"
"The council consists of six members: four men and two women. Hassatan is the leader of the council; he is a man who is no stranger to betrayal. He once was my right-hand man, but he wished for power, and went to Serpentine. Paimon is a quiet man who never says much. He is stern. Dagon is a man who is loving and compassionate--he cares for the citizens' well-being. Ornias can be described in three words: sinister, dark, and calculating. The women of the council are no better, except one. There is Lamia, who has lust for Ornias, considering they share most personality traits. And then there is sweet, sweet Lilith. She helped in freeing you from your cell. William is the Voice of F.E.A.R. He pretends to be the center of the church, but it actually is Serpentine. And it is unknown to me if she hates you."
"Tell me of The Church of The Wild Ones. What do they stand for?"
"The Prophet, The Deviant, The Destroyer, The Mourner, and The Mystic all stand for one thing: the return of I, Jophiel. They have a vast number of followers, and it is still growing."
"So," Eve says, adding it all together, "they have faith, hope, and legion?"
"Funny you should inquire about those three topics."
"What do they have to do with me?"
"Sweetheart, they are you. They are your prophecy."
Eve is taken aback, her closed eyelids squirming. "What prophecy? You have said nothing of a prophecy for me. Perhaps you mean The Prophet?"
"No. The five leaders of The Wild Ones all have prophecies, yes, but yours is the greatest."
"What are their prophecies?"
"The Mystic's prophecy is simple: become a wielder of the elements through me. He is highly religious for one reason: he has a divine faith. It has been proven he can control fire, and will gain his whole power during the battle. He is like a mage.
"The Destroyer's prophecy correlates with his name--he is to destroy. He is to help The Wild Ones by destroying. He is much like a tank, bringing on not just destruction, but the renewal of cycles that have been long lost to the universe.
"The Mourner's job is to mourn, almost as a bard. He is a silent mourner, but that does not mean he will not go out fighting in the Duplicate's name.
"Deviant is to be a rebel. He used to be with F.E.A.R., but was called to arms to be with The Wild Ones. He is a supreme soldier: never backing down.
