The Prophet watches his followers begin to scramble. From the tarred wreckage and burned buildings, they were all assigned to create armor, weapons, and anything useful for fighting F.E.A.R. Tomorrow was the day that his church would be fighting against the ignorant bastards of the Church of F.E.A.R. If Andy and Lilith's plan was to work, that would mean an opportunity to strike F.E.A.R. while they were exposed.
The Deviant is just in The Prophet's eyesight. He is helping some members assemble their weapons correctly. He looked hopeless and doubtful, wondering if The Prophet was actually telling the truth about the war.
The Mourner and The Destroyer were positioned at random stations with a few soldiers on the outskirts of the city. Bethlehem was attacked once, and who's to say F.E.A.R. will not do it again?
Andy glares around the rubble, trying to find The Mystic. At once, he spies him, not doing his assigned duty. Andy gets somewhat ticked, and begins to walk over to the man. Then, he sees what he is doing.
The Mystic was standing before the burned and scorched church, mourning. During the raid, the main place of worship was snatched up and immolated; it was sacrificed by fire. The Mystic was standing before the church, and he seemed to be crying. He touches the burnt walls, and hangs his head low.
Andy walks towards the shaking man. He approaches him with a strong façade, but inside he is crumbling.
"Jinxx," he mumbles, laying a hand on the man's back in sympathy, "I know how you feel."
The man shakes his head. He tugs at the ends of his hair, giving his hands something to do. "Andy, you have no idea what I am feeling."
"I loved her too," Andy forces out, hanging his own head.
Jinxx turns from the building. He meets Andy's eyes with an almost angered look. Jinxx's eyes were red with pain and suffering. "How are you so cool and comfortable about it?" he whispers through gritted teeth. His eyebrows sinisterly arch. "Your lover just died; you are not mourning. Evelyn was like a daughter to me, and I am crying like an idiot. Not to mention the hundreds of souls taken to the Temple, where God knows what is happening to them! Andy, I have faith in Jophiel--more than I can express. Sadly, I am starting to lose my belief. Everything is going wrong. How are you so sure about everything?"
Andy walks away from The Mystic, instead walking into the remains of the church. The Mystic follows, wanting answers. "Jinxx, why can't you trust me when I say I am one with Jophiel?"
"Because you are not God. You are not someone as holy or divine as Eve, Jophiel, or his forbidden sister."
Andy can understand why Jinxx would believe he was lying. It was reality. "As for mourning about Evelyn, I refuse to. She exists with Jophiel in another realm. The other half of her soul is on Earth, and will be brought here tomorrow. There is no reason to mourn someone who is not truly dead."
"But you loved her!" Jinxx screams, looking at his leader with a disgusted look. "You are under the false impression that the mortal-world Eve will be just the same as the Duplicate!"
"Don't call her the Duplicate. That is a stupid and childish name for a human being."
"Half of a human being."
Andy bows his head at that notion. By all means, it was true. Andy could not escape that. His mind felt like it was being electrocuted. "What do you expect to do?" he questions. "Do you plan to leave, now? Apparently you have lost all hope, Mystic."
The Mystic cringes. "Don't use that name on me right now. We are in private."
"Then stop calling Evelyn the Duplicate."
