A new light

     Sebastian

     My eyes were wide but not for long. She knows I am a demon and I know she is not normal. A smirk appeared on my face, this could be interesting.

     -How do you know this for sure? Do I look like a demon? Her giggle was sweet and her left eye showed a new color, a demonic pink. My eyes widened again as I left out a gasp.

     -I know for sure, because you can say I'm one too. Tell me Sebastian, why are you on my ship? If you are in the human world you must have a master, am I right? I said nothing, but silence is an answer too, she smiled. Ciel, right? 

     -Why do you need to ask something that you already know, Eve? Or should I say Evelyn Randall? She was angry as her eye turned pink, I think I hit a nerve.

     -Ok demon, you and Ciel will come to my room in 10 minutes, don't be late, or else...

    

     My master and I were sitting on the sofa as Eve was standing in front of us. She was calmer than before, but you could see in her eyes that she was irritated. We looked at each other until she began speaking.

     -Well, it seems that you both know who I am, but tell me, who the hell are you and what do you have in mind? 

     -No games anymore then. My name is Ciel Phantomhive, I am the Queen's watchdog and he is my butler Sebastian. Eve's eyes were big but she showed Ciel a big smile.

     -I knew you looked familiar, so you're alive. I'm glad. Did you come her to kill me? Is that what the old hag wants? her happy face dropped.He coughed.

     -The Queen wants me to arrest the ones that burned the shops in London. She thinks that your group is involved. 

     -Tsk, of course she thinks that, she wants me dead for years, but, I'm sorry to tell you, we aren't the ones you search for, so take your bags and leave. I don't want to get my group involved in shit, you are my friend's child and you have a demon with you, if you have a problem with me, fine take me, kill me, I don't care, but don't come here and involve my friends in your nasty stuff. Her way of speaking was confident, without fear, just like a captain. I smiled.

     -I want to solve this case fast so we can go home, and you don't want to involve your friends in this, so come with us back in London, you can stay at my mansion and when we're done you can do whatever you want. 

     -Fine, Phantomhive, I accept,  but with one condition, you never call me by my real name, never.

     -All right.

     The morning came and we had to go back in the city. Eve left Joseph in charge of the ship. He looked at me with a smile as we shook our hands.

     -Michaelis, it was a pleasure to meet you, I hope we will drink a beer again, he said but then he whispered in my ear, I can see that Captain trust you, so I beg you, take care of her, she is a good woman but she needs a man like you to help her back on her feet. Promise me. I smiled, I will miss this man and his funny stories.

     -I promise, friend.

     ~Back at the manor~

     We arrived home and Eve was shaking, she didn't know that we built the manor back, her eyes were full of sadness, but she relaxed when she looked at me. She knows that I'm a demon, but I have no idea what she is. Master got back into his study room and I was left alone with Eve to show her around. 

     -You didn't finish your story, I said while she looked in the distance. I was really curious about her, she was a demon, but she was a strange one.

     -Well, I found out about Leo, but I still loved him and I wanted to be with him forever. So we decided that we will do the ritual, but something happened and the ritual ended, leaving me in this condition. I'm immortal, but I have no special power and I can't eat souls, I'm more like a ghost. Soon after that Leo died and I remained here alone. I won't tell the details for now, but that shitty Queen is involved.

     We remained in the same spot for 5 minutes, she was crying silently. I didn't know what to do so I hugged her, she said nothing in return. 

     -Let's go inside for now.
