   ~Eve

The night was cold, tree branches were poking in the window. I couldn't sleep, I spent so many nights in this room, sometimes laughing with Vincent, sometimes crying for silly things, but this night this room felt so distant, so cold and unwelcoming. I ran away from here just to be back years later. I laughed silently, such irony. I got up, I have to go get some fresh air. I was dressed in a long, see through shirt, a jacket and a pair of boots. I was used to the cold, when you live on a ship you get all kinds of weather.

The hallway was silent, as expected everybody was asleep, except for Sebastian who, well, can't really sleep. I stayed here for so long, so many memories, some good, some bad. I walked out in the garden, the wind sent chills down my spine, but it was a nice feeling, I was alive to feel at least, I sighed.

-Is something on your mind my lady? Sebastian's voice was close to my ear. I jumped up in surprise and pushed him away. He smirked at me and I could feel his gaze scanning me from head to toe.

-Oh, you scared me bastard. He laughed and put his hand on my waist.

-I see you are a touchy person. I playfully slapped his hand but he caught my wrist.

-Not really, but I would love to touch you in many places tho. Oh, so that's on your mind demon, I smirked and put my hands around his neck, leaving no space between us. He gave me a lustful gaze as I was getting closer to his face.

-Well demon, you'll have to work hard for that. I pushed him hard enough to escape and went back inside the manor. But that didn't stop him. As I was walking in the dark hallway to my room, a pair of pink eyes followed me. I felt his hot breath on my neck, then on my shoulders. We arrived in front of my room as I giggled.

-Are we playing the wolf and the sheep? I turned around and our faces were almost touching. He showed me eyes filled with hunger.

-Well, you said I had to work hard, but I'm not a patient man. In an instant I was pinned to the door and his hands were stopping me from moving.

-Look, I know you are bored, but today is not a good day for perverted activities. If you want to come in for a chit chat that's fine, but don't expect me to fall for your tricks. He looked at me with a serious face.

-What tricks? I sighed and looked him in the eyes.

-I know how you, demons, behave. You lure people with your sweet words, you touch them gently, you play with them and after... I lived around demons, I know how amazing a night with you would be, but I know what comes after that and I don't want to feel that again. I like you Sebastian, but this feeling is not strong enough for me to give in. He looked at me with empty eyes and sighed.

-Well, every war has it's own victory, good night Eve. My eyes widened and I caught his arm, he looked at me with a surprised face.

-Sebastian, from where do you know that quote? My heart was beating faster than ever. That was something my father used to tell me, it was his favorite quote.

-I don't really know, it just came in my mind when I looked at you, I don't think I heard it from somewhere. He had a questioning face but my heart was filled with joy.

-Just for tonight, you can come and stay with me. His brows rised up but then his face turned back into a smirk.

     -Yes, my lady.

The morning came and once again I was pranked. How could I fall for the same thing two times in a row? Joseph would die of laughter by now. I smile. I hope to see him again. He said to take care of miss Eve, but I think I'm the one that needs protection. Ah, well, it makes the events more interesting, I can say. She's a smart woman, but why doesn't she want to give in? She's a demon, well,  more demon than human at least. She had a rough past, but she's not like young master. She doesn't have to stay in the human realm forever, she can come down- The answer came to my mind and it was the most obvious thing in the world. This information will surely make things more interesting.
