-Hiccup's POV-
I look over to see Kaida staring at me with a confused look. I think for a minute and try to understand why she would be confused, or at least look like she was. Then it hit me, Drago said that I was the 'former Dragon Master' when everyone on Berk, even Kaida, knows me as Chief Hiccup, the 'Dragon Master'. That's what must be confusing her! All the sudden I heard Kaida speak in a voice I almost didn't recognize, it was fearless? Since when was Kaida fearless?

"And who are YOU to decide that Chief Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, my FATHER! Is the 'former' Dragon Master'?" Kaida spoke up.

"It was decided the day he lost Berk to me and MY ARMODA! And I don't remember the 'Dragon Master' having a daughter who was so outspoken." Drago replied.

"He didn't, but now he does," Kaida said looking back at Merida and I. "And if you want to keep Berk you are going to have to go through ME!" Kaida suddenly yelled.

"Hey! Don't count us out on this!" The boy she called Alec suddenly said.

"I didn't want to speak for you, this did use to be my home and I am going to fight for it, but wether you guys fight with me is completely up to you!" Kaida tried to reason with them.

"Are you kidding! You have helped every single one of us with our problems! Now we are going to help you with yours!" The girl named Eve said.

Kaida nodded at her friends and looked back at Drago, who was now glaring at them. My eyes widened in both fear and shock. There was no way that they could defeat Drago and his army by themselves! It was impossible! They are just kids!

"Kaida you can't....... I start, but I was cut off by a death glare thrown by Kaida.

I shut up until we were given a spacious tent to prepare for the upcoming battle at dawn. After Drago's guards left I tried to say something but Kaida beat me to it.

"I know you don't trust me enough to handle this Dad, or you think that it's 'impossible' for a girl like ME to defeat a man like THAT! But Dad, news flash! I lived in the forest without YOU, for TWO YEARS! And for three months of that time, I was ALONE! I only had 'Crystal' to keep me company! Once I found these guys, EVERYTHING changed. They helped me in ways Berk NEVER could! So you might not believe in me, or my friends, I do. And we trust each other till the end! As long as we rely on that, our strengths, and remember what we have to lose, we can't fail, correction, we WONT fail!" Kaida blew up in my face, and it surprised everyone.

Merida put her hand on my shoulder and looked at me lovingly. We smiled and knew for once, that we both needed to put our faith in our youngest daughter.

-KAIDA'S POV-
"As long as we rely on that, our strengths, and remember what we have to lose, we can't fail, correction, we WONT fail!" I blew up in my fathers face.

I hadn't realized how mad I actually was at him or at Berk, until that moment. I knew everyone was surprised by my outburst, even my friends. I just had to get it out, I quickly grabbed my daggers, sword, and bow and arrows that they had taken from me and walked out of the tent and started for the tree line that lead to the cove. I knew I wasn't alone though, the moment I left the tent, I heard the sound of three pairs of feet shuffling and metal hitting against metal. I I just let them follow me, or let them think they were following me without being noticed apparently. Right as I got to the cove's entrance, I decided to speak.

"So....... are you all going to follow me in here to? Or what?" I asked.

I could practically see them jump from where I was, they were behind some trees that weren't quite big enough to hide them, just a few feet away.

"You knew we were here?" Ben asked.

"I should have known! I know better than to follow you and to think I can hide it!" Eve exclaims.

I smile at what Eve and Ben say, only to be thrown out of my thoughts when I hear Alec ask me his question while practically holding me in the process.

"Are you ok? I have never seen you lash out like that before!"

I get lost in his gold and silver eyes, the almost exact replica of mine, his just being opposite, my mind not even registering the question he just asked me. I realize what I'm doing after I hear my name being said faintly a few times.

"Kaida? Kaida? Kaida can you hear me?" Alec asks me.

"Oh! Umm...... yes I can, and yes I'm fine. I just need to clear my head, that's all." I say hopefully convincingly.

They look at each other, then back to me, when I think they are about to leave me to clear my head, Alec speaks up.

"No clearing your head like a good old sparing match? Are you in?"

I smile, grab my sword and go in low and quick at Alec. We continue to spar, Eve with Ben, and Alec and I, so that way both Alec and I could use our powers without holding back to much, until the sun started to disappear from the cove, telling us that the day was coming to an end.

"We should get going, wouldn't want anyone to get worried or think we are backing out." I say

With everyone's nods of approval, we head back through the forest, and onto Berk, only for Eve to get tackled by one of Drago's men. Before I can react, we are interrupted but Drago's deep, low voice.

"You broke the rules Kaida."

"What rules?" I ask confused and slightly agitated.

"We are not allowed to physically train before the battle, and that is EXACTLY what you and your friends were doing!" Drago shouts

I sigh and shake my head, "ok....... One, we had NO IDEA that there was a rule like that, and Two, we weren't training, they followed me into the forest when I needed fresh air, we ended up sparing because sparing helps me think." I explain.

"THAT, my dear is still training! The price I the life of a friend. Which shall it be?" Drago asked.

My eyes widened, I couldn't lose them! They were my family! I couldn't control what came out of my mouth next.

"What if!? Instead of killing one of them, we start the battle we start now instead of at dawn?" I proposed.

"You mean, when your all tired and had a long days fighting?" Drago asked intrigued.

"Yes" I confirm, not even thinking twice.

There was a hanging silence for a moment, then Drago unsheathed his sword and spoke.

"It's a deal."

The moment my friends heard that, they were no longer 'playing nice', Eve kicked the guard where the 'sun don't shine' and whipped out her lab kit and daggers, ready for anything. Ben grabbed the guy on the wrist, twists it and pushes him up against a tree, holding him there with his sword. Alec, couldn't escape using his bow and arrows or his 'human' fighting skills, so he made some roots appear from under the guards feet, lifted him up, and smashed him against a tree. I however, had to deal with Drago. I promised myself that I wouldn't use my powers unless I ABSOLUTELY had to. Drago's first moves of battle were aimed right at me, and he's A LOT stronger than he looks, but than again, so am I. I use the sword that my father gave me years ago to help keep him at bay. I was so focused on my portion of the battle, that I almost missed, what if it had happened, would have shattered me, even if I don't like them at the moment.

I look over to my left, to see my mum and dad, surrounded by Drago's men, and Amelia being held captive by one of them with a dagger at her throat. My parents lay their weapons down, in hopes that she would be set free, but I knew that she wouldn't be. The guard smirks evilly as he lifts the dagger from her throat into the air,

That's when all hell breaks loose!
