"Are y'all ready," Chris asked.
"Ready," Michael replied.
"Ready," I replied. I really wasn't, though.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! GIVE IT UP FOR THOMAS GONZALEZ, CHRIS KYLES, AND MICHAEL ANTONIO!!!!"
The audience cheered their asses off as we got on stage.I cleared my throat. So. Many. People...
All Night by Beyoncé started. Chris sang beautifully. Everyone cheered. I was scared my vocals would come out raggedy and messy. Michael and I did good jobs as backups. I was scared to sing alone, though.
Michael sang the "I Get Lonely" part by Janet Jackson. Everyone cheered. I was right. It matched perfectly! Then, he went back to singing the All Night chorus. Good job, Mikey.
Fuck....it's my turn. Shit! Shit! Shit!Breathe. Breathe.
I gulped, then the words came out of my mouth smoothly.
People applauded.
Oh thank God.
Finally, the performance was over. Everyone clapped and we bowed.
"May all performers line up on stage," Mrs. Marcus urged.
This is it.... I knew we weren't going to win, but...
"And the winner is......"
There was a drumroll. Hurry up and say it!"Thomas, Christopher, and Michael!!!!!"
Oh congratulations to that per.... WAIT WHAT?!?!?!?! OH MY GOD WE WON!!!!!!!!!
Chris, Mike, and I jumped up and down, hugging.
"We did it!" Mike chimed.
"I told y'all we could," Chris reminded.
"I love you guys!" I gushed.
Going home with a trophy felt amazing. Oh my gosh, I'm tingling.
"Congratulations, son," Dad said, filming me on camera.
"Y'all were amazing!" Henry chimed.
I hugged them. "Thanks you guys.
Elliott came up to me with flowers. I excused myself and took them. "Ohh, babyyyyy." I kissed him on the lips. "I love you."
"You guys did amazing," he said.
"I know," I bragged.*Imagination by Shawn Mendes plays in the background*
I hung out with Dad, Henry, Chris, Michael, Rene, and Elliott afterwards, we went to Chilis, and El and I went his place. We sat on his roof, looking the moon and city. His head was on my shoulder. I can tell his shampoo is apple.
"Where you see us in...about...three years?" He asked.
"That's a random question. Uh.... graduating together? Trying to get into the same college as each other.....Going away together. Driving to a new town, going on a vacation....Us doing something with our lives.....I could be in the crowd in some coffee shop while you play piano....and I.... well I don't know exactly what I want to be when I grow up. I always wanted to be a T.V. writer and director. Or author. But I don't like the thought of people not liking my work, so...."
(A/N: this is literally me.)
"Same. I didn't know you had so much planned out for us when we're 18."
"And when we're in our late 20s or early 30s," I continued. "We're married, we can adopt or surr-"
"Okay..." Elliott interrupted. "I don't wanna think about waaaay into the future. But that is beautiful. You see yourself marrying me?"
"We'd be the best married couple on the block!" I assured. I held his hand. "Let's just enjoy being a fifteen year old gay couple."
"Okay," he agreed.
We were about to kiss, then water squirted on me.
"What the-"
"It's show time, boys!" Rene cheered, having a huge water in her hand. Then, Michael, Henry, and Chris came with water guns for us.
We laughed and we squirted each other, having the time of our lives. So yeah, that's how it went when I finally came out to my friends and family. My dad still owes me big time for the way he reacted, but at least he's cool now. There's still people who hate my guts, but all that matters is Dad, Chris, Michael, Henry, Rene, and my lovely Elliott.
