Our first class together was, thankfully, something interesting that could distract us both from our earlier encounter with the Team Rocket duo.
Mythology and Arts with Mr. Pyth.
We walked into the wide classroom where our first class was to take place. Two black chalkboards to the right with a large white square gap in the middle, perfect for projections. A mahogany desk was placed in front of them with a couple books, a laptop and a projector. To the left rows upon rows of seats went from the bottom of the room and steadily going up, close to the ceiling. Two rows of stairs separated the seats in three parts. It was your typical university classroom. Jaden and I sat in the middle row at the center of the room. It was rather empty at first, but slowly more and more students began to take seats around the room.
"Ugh, Bonnie and Clyde at two. Ya gotta be shittin' me." Jaden grunted, wiping a hand down his face in obvious frustration. I looked up just as A and Sel entered the room, who casted Jaden a little smirk that made him fume with rage at the female. I gave him a little pat on the shoulder to calm him down, but much to our displeasure Sel walked towards us like a panther ready to lounge at its pray and she sat right behind us.
So much for trying to have a peaceful class.
"Deep, even breathes, Jay. Don't let her get to you." I whispered to him, sensing his anger from a mile away. He gave me an apologetic stare and tried do as I said when the lights of the room went off all of a sudden. The windows of the room were covered in black thick curtains, so seeing anything in the darkness of the classroom was impossible. Other students gasped and blurted out obscenities, some girls squealing at the sudden darkness. I felt a pair of strong hands go around my waist and I my muscles tensed for a moment before I realized it was just Jaden. He was leaning over me, his hands going around my waist protectively. He was acting oddly overprotective today. I looked around in confusion, not knowing what to do or what was happening until the projector turned itself on, illuminating the white wall in front of it. A tall man stood right in front of it, the light casting an eerie aura around him.
Rippling muscles were hidden tightly under his gray suit that seemed a size too small for him. He was that monstrous, probably over seven feet tall. His dark silky hair fell over his right shoulder and down his muscular back. His face was marked by a deep scar that went from his forehead, passing over his nose and down to his right cheek. His empty black eyes stared pointedly in my direction. Who hired John Cena's evil twin to be our art teacher?
The man cleared his throat and finally unglued his stare on me to gaze around the room, speaking up in a deep baritone voice.
"My apologies for the sudden entrance, I did not mean to scare any of you. My name is Mr. Pyth and I will be your mythology and history of art teacher this year. I shall hope we can all get along, very, very well." He added, his eyes flickering to me for a second, before he turned to his laptop to prepare his things. Another perverted teacher? Well, nothing I didn't go through before. I just wish things like this would stop happening, but that's asking for too much. Fate was never good to me.
Mr. Pyth started up his laptop and a picture of a fluffy white kitten appeared in the white wall as his desktop image. Jaden and I shared curious looks, clearly holding off a laugh on his part. Some people were snickering amongst each other, but Mr. Pyth didn't seem to care or even notice. He looked around in folders for a few minutes before he clicked open a picture of a man and a woman in ancient tunics, and we started our first class with Greek Mythology. He began by explaining the creation of everything in, at least, one of the many ways the Greeks saw it.
Chaos, the first thing to come to existence, from where everything originated. From Chaos came Gaia, Tartarus and Eros. The first three primordial deities, representing Earth, Abyss and Creation. Later came Nyx, the Night, and Erebus, the Darkness. From their union came Aether, the Light, and Hemera, the Day. Gaia on the other hand, created Pontus, the sea, and Uranus, the sky. She had children of her own with the latter, which were the beginning of the generation of Titans.
