I woke up to the weirdest sensation ever.
Absolutely nothing.
No nightmares, no pain, no headache, nothing. The only thing I felt was the comfort of the silk sheets and heavy warm blankets on top of me, the soft feathered pillow under my head, the perfect softness of the matress under my body that didn't ache at all. I was confused for a second until I remembered where I was. I opened my eyes slowly to stare at the black ceiling with intricate designs of Hades' guest room. I was in the palace of a god. A powerful god. In the middle of a place called the Underworld.
Feels like I'm still dreaming.
I sat up slowly to gaze around the room I was given by Cerberus the day before. It was pretty big to be a guest room, nicely illuminated by two black lamps over the black nightstands and one hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the square room. Tall ceilings, four walls decorated with the same intricate designed wallpaper matching the ones above, in shades of black over velvet. To my right was the black door that led out to the hallway, two nightstands on each side of the canopy bed I was in, which was heavily decorated with black sheets, red velvet pillows and blankets, and any other shade of those two colors, much like every furniture in the room. I'll take a wild guess that Hades likes black and red.
In front of me were two black doors, one leading to a walk-in closet and the other to a bathroom, which I was eager to go to. I got out of the bed, which stood a few inches off the ground, and made my way to the large bathroom that surprised me a little.
Unlike the guest room, and probably most of this castle, the bathroom was decorated in shades of white and black, white being the primary color in here. Black shiny tiles went around the room, making the lights and furniture reflect in them perfectly, like a mirror. A large white and black shower to the furthest right corner, a large white countertop with a rectangular mirror right on top of it. And in the middle of the room stood a white sleek bathtub over a white fur rug. I wasn't so used to taking bathtubs so I decided to just take a quick warm shower, dried myself while swiftly ignoring my reflection in both the tiles and the mirror, and glided back into the room and right to the walk-in closet. It was big, not as big as the bathroom itself but big enough to hold my clothes, which was still shocking to me. All my clothes were placed inside the black closet, all my boots, all my sweaters, cardigans, everything. And all because of magic.
Which reminded me, Cerberus said they'd teach me how to use my magic today.
Magic, I snorted. Yeah right. I didn't have magical powers like them, but it would still be interesting to see what they had to say now.
Not wanting to waste another second, I picked up my black tight ragged jeans from the racks, a red tank top with the logo of Metallica in black letters, and a long black knitted cardigan that reached the back of my knees. I into my ankle boots, reaching up to tie my hair in a high ponytail and I almost picked up my key necklace, but decided against it. I rather not use it in this weird world for now, the thought of losing it scared me.
I slid out of my room just as Cain did from the door opposite to mine. He was still carefully fixing his auburn hair as he left the room, probably to keep that perfect sexy bedhair in place. He wore a white turtleneck that hugged his lean figure beautifully, black slacks and black designer boots. He looked up as soon as he noticed me, and that usual playful smirk fell on his face, his summer blue eyes glimmering with love. I noticed two sleek fangs peek under his rosy heart-shaped lips, and I frowned curiosly as I remembered the ones I felt when I woke up, back in the pool. I made a mental note to ask him about them later.
"How's the little goddess today?"
"Surprisingly, I feel good, no headaches. And please don't call me that." I added with a grunt as we made our way down the hallway in the same direction Cerberus led us through last night, hoping everyone else would be waiting at the foyer downstairs.
