Annabel

The past week I have done nothing but go to school, go straight to the hospital afterwards where I spend time with my mother while she is in recovery, then when visiting hours are over, I head back home where I eat and shower.

It was so quiet and lonely at home without her there. A couple of nights I even found myself sneaking over to Harry's to stay with him because I was "scared." Just like old times. Although I wasn't scared, I just wanted to be with him. To be next to him.

He and Lyla are still going strong, I guess. He never talks much about her anymore ever since the whole 'I love you' thing. I don't mind it much, to be honest. I don't want to hear him talk about her.

Kyle and I haven't talked since our litte 'date' or whatever you want to call it. He's just not for me, and I don't need to have to worry about having a relationship at the moment or even dating for that matter.

I was only worried about helping my mum get better, which she was. Her bruises weren't as purple anymore, and all of her swelling in her face has gone down. Her left arm is fractured along with 3 broken ribs. It will take some time to heal, but she's going to be okay. That's all that matters.

Spring was approaching, which meant spring break would be soon. Usually mum and I will go on a little trip, but it's just not going to happen this year. Although we get two weeks off, I'm planning on just staying home and taking care of my duties here.

I was currently at the library with Emily studying. I was dressed pretty casual that day; wearing white skinny jeans with an oversized light pink sweater and a random pair of sandals that matched.

Emily, too, was not planning on doing anything for the time off of school.

"Probably just going to spend time with Louis, read a few books, and maybe work out here and there. That's about it," she answered when I asked her.

We were both sitting silently, working. Only a few other people were there.

"So what's the news on you and Haz?" Emily raised her eyebrow.

"The usual." I answered monotone, not even bothering to look up.

"It reminds me of a story I read once. Boy and girl are best friends. Girl falls absolutely head over heels for him, but he's completely oblivious. And yet she continues to hide in the shadows awaiting the day he'll finally realize it's her he wants and he will sweep her off her feet." she said dramatically.

I stiffled a giggle. "He has a girlfriend, Em."

"So it's like you two are star-crossed lovers then! Oh my gosh, kind of like Romeo and Juliet!" she said excitedly. "O Harry, Harry! Wherfore art thou Harry?" she placed the back of her hand against her forehead in a dramatic way, pretending to faint.

I couldn't help but laugh loudly. "Emily, have you even read Romeo and Juliet? It's nothing like that!"

We both laughed, not realizing how loud we were.

"Shh!" an old lady sitting nearby hissed loudly.

"Sorry," I whispered holding back my giggles. My phone then began to vibrate loudly on the table, and the lady just rolled her eyes, stood up, and moved somewhere else. Grouchy old hag.

The contact that showed gave me butterflies just looking at it.

My sexy Hazza!

Yes, Harry put that as his name in his phone. But I have to admit, he's not really lying. Anyways.

I opened the text. It read:

Annabanana! I have something to tell you, so meet me at my house after you see your mum. xx
