Unbearable Pain.

Jess's POV:

I was still in the dark and moldy basement. By now, I have many cuts on my stomach and back. Underneath me was a dark red stain of the dried blood that has dripped off of me. However, there was some fresh blood there from the recent cuts that happened a few minutes ago. Chad left about a minute ago for lunch. Stupidly, I asked if I could have lunch too which led me to get one long cut on my face. My wrists, still tied up and hanging from them, were throbbing painfully. It was like an elephant was sitting on them. I had begged Chad to untie me but he would always laugh and take a knife to my stomach or back. My stomach growled from the lack of food and when I looked down, it looked like I was skinnier than I was when he kidnapped me. I sighed. I still had hope that my dad, Tony and the others would find me but I found it hard to keep the panic and worry away at night. I would always wonder if this was how I was going to die. I hate Chad and his brother, Ryan. I wonder if my dad knew that Ryan was a part of it but I mostly wonder if he was doing okay. Was he taking care of himself? If he wasn't, I'm sure his team and Jenny would take care of him.

I woke up to pounding footsteps coming down the stairs. The door had opened and Ryan walked in. I glared and looked down. "Look at me" Ryan said. I ignored him. "Look at me" Ryan ordered. I slowly looked at him. He held a cup with a straw in it. It looked like water was in it but I learned to not get my hopes up. Chad would always bring down food or water and say it's for me but pulls it away and eats or drinks it anyway. I looked at the cup of water then back to Ryan. He held to cup higher so the straw was poking my lips. "I know you're going to take it away as soon as I move to take a sip, so why bother?" I asked, my voice hoarse. Ryan sighed. "Chad wants to torture you as long as he was in prison and he can't do that if you die of dehydration or hunger so it's my job to feed you and give you water" Ryan said. He poked my mouth with the straw again. I squinted my eyes in thought. Was he telling the truth? I decided to go with it. I opened my mouth and Ryan put the straw in my mouth. Still looking at him, I started to drink the water. He didn't take the cup away until I finished drinking the water. When I was done, he set the cup down on the counter with all of the bloody tools. "Thanks" I said, hoarsely. He only nodded. He looked at me and looked at a knife. He slowly picked it up and walked over to me. He looked like he was still deciding to cut me or not. I was hoping he would choose to not cut me but I was wrong. He made a long cut on my side. I bit my lip to stop from screaming out in pain. Ryan chuckled. "Chad's right. This is fun" he said before putting the knife down. He grabbed the cup and went back upstairs.

I picked my head up and leaned it gently on my right arm. I was wide awake but I wanted to sleep so I could dream that this wasn't happening. I felt tears forming in my eyes and normally I would fight them off but this time, I let them fall. I cried for as long as I could remember before passing out.

Tony's POV:

I sat in Abby's lab with Abby and McGee. We were facing the monitor on the wall which showed the visitation room tapes. Unfortunately, there was no sound. Fortunately, Abby could read lips. Abby was speaking what Ryan and Chad were saying. She had different voices for both of them. For Chad, the voice was low pitched and for Ryan, the voice was high pitched. "So, when are you going to complete the plan" high pitched Abby said. "In a few days" low pitched Abby replied. Ryan nodded. "Are you sure this plan is going to work?" high pitched Abby asked. "Of course, Ryan. That bleep deserves to die" low pitched Abby responded. "Sorry, I don't like to swear" Abby, in her regular voice said. McGee and I nodded. "See you soon" Abby said low pitched then high pitched. That was the end of the tape. I sighed in anger. Abby looked at me. "Whoa, relax. We'll find her. We always do" she said, encouragingly. I looked at her. "But what if we don't find her in time" I said and walked out of the lab and into the elevator before either of them said a word. I was heading to the squad room. I was suddenly overwhelmed so I flipped the emergency stop switch. I bent down and took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. Every day, I hope that we find something that will lead us to her but every thing that we find, leads us nowhere. I'm feeling less and less hopeful that we will find her alive. I closed my eyes and took in a few more deep breaths before I flipped the switch again. In a second, the doors binged open and I stepped out.

I walked to my desk and saw Director Shepard sitting at Gibbs's desk. I looked at her questioningly but ignored it. However, I did walk over to her. She was currently looking at a folder on the desk when I stopped in front of her. She looked up and took off her glasses. "Can I help you?" she asked. I cleared my throat. "How've you been with all of this?" I asked her. She looked surprised for a second but than the sadness rushed back onto her face. "I'm doing the best that I can. You?" she replied. "I'm doing the best that I can" I replied. I stood there for a second, silent. "Where's Gibbs?" I asked. "Taking a nap in my office. He needed it" she replied. I sighed in relief. "I know. He hasn't slept since she was taken. He blames himself. So, are we supposed to report to you until he wakes up?" I asked. "Yes, DiNozzo" she replied. I nodded. "Me, Abby and McGee watched the tapes of the multiple visits. It was mostly about the when and the how, not the where. The rest were about how Ryan's life was going and how Chad was doing in prison but nothing so far leading to the whereabouts of Jessica Gibbs" I reported. Director Shepard sighed. "Okay, keep looking Tony" she said. I nodded and went to my desk.

Jess's POV:

Chad was back. "Are you ready?" he asked. "Stop, please" I begged, hopelessly. He laughed. He walked over to me and caressed my chin. "You know that will never work on me" he replied. He took the whip and walked behind me. I closed my eyes and waited. The first hit stung like a huge, burning mallet hit my back. I screamed. The second hit stung even worse than that causing me to scream bloody murder. He whipped me four more times until he walked into my field of vision which was soon going to fade to black. He laughed. "Enjoying your stay, are you?" he said, sarcastically. I cursed him in my brain before blacking out. I woke up by cold water being splashed on me which caused my cuts to sear in pain. I screamed. Chad chuckled. "Time for more" he replied. He grabbed a knife and started to cut me. I screamed at some but held the scream in for others. Chad hated that so he cut me more and more. The pain that I was feeling right now was unbelievable. I didn't know someone could feel this much pain. Take someone burning alive, then had a limb bitten off by a shark, then fall from a great height, but not too high causing the person to die, just to break a few bones, the pain that I'm feeling now makes all of that look like a basket filled with puppies and kittens and baby bunnies, cuddling together. I've been blacking out more than once a day and even I know that that isn't good. However, Ryan will give me some water and food and make sure the cuts don't get an infection, for some reason. I still hate Ryan. My arms feel like they will detach from my torso any minute. I hoped that dad or Tony or someone will find me and rescue me. I need to be rescued. Before Chad could even finish his cutting sessions, I screamed one last bloodcurdling scream and blacked out.
