Corruption.
Corruption everywhere.
And in the middle?
Is me and you,
The fools
The posters for vulnerability.

We the people are such as water.
Strewn about in the world-
a scene of billions of broken bottles.
Drip dropping, wetting the pearls-
that are already drenched at the bottom.
Shiny spectacles, the root of our problems.

We're like ants,
Growing and multiplying,
Working till Winter comes and then...
Well we die anyway,
Taking over the Earth has never been this easy,
And humankind is throwing it all into God's face.

Our mind's eyes soar through galactic chalices.
Nebula clouds blind our retinas-
yet still we choose to observe the lavish.
The Milky Way vanishes past the passive-
to angrier, more intensive, intrusive beings.
But nothing near compares to the beauty that I've been seeing.

Somewhere near the sun we stop,
I feel lost in the vast darkness surrounding me,
And realize...
We're a grain of sand,
A star in the distance,
And somewhere in the back of the galaxy we fade.

Rotten somethings arise-
as loose soil gives way to hideous monsters.
Duality looks to the skies-
their faces seem nothing more than sketchy imposters.
They've severed the ties-
this is no longer between the dying and proctors.

Somehow, the air changes as our hearts collide,
This is the epiphany of nothing and everything.
Humankind is overflowing with the disease of time
And now...
It stops.

They say that cold, it takes over.
It holds us ever closer in search of closure-
yet never finds the cure so it breaks composure.
That's when fire takes its place.
The raging magma laced in greed for eternal space-
as it scouts the land for a mortal chase.
