I knock at the duke's studydoor and enter.
„Are you not familiar with the common etiquette of waiting until called in, Miss Bentley?"
„I'm sorry, your Grace, but after a summon to his study, my father insisted on efficiency. But I'll consider your wishes for the future. Be assured that I would never have entered your private rooms before your call, sir."
„And why would you act differently in front of my bedroom?"
„Isn't that obvious? I wouldn't want to stumble over your mistresses, my lord."
„Mistresses as in plural, Miss Bentley?"
„Well, you have a certain reputation, my lord" I reply tartly.
„Are you jealous, Miss Bentley?" He seems to enjoy himself according to his cocky grin.
„I don't have any reason for jealousy, as I am not your mistress but your secretary and have no hold over you in any of your bedrooms, Sir."
He looks at my with raised eyebrows. "At the moment, you are fencing me with a very bold tongue... Now, what shall I do about this tongue?" He cocks his head while tipping his index to his lips. „I think I'll use this bold tongue of yours for more voiceless purposes whilst we are traveling to the north."
I'm suddenly alert: „What travel?"
„I will have several tedious weeks of business at Wolsley Hall to attend to and you will join me on my journey to Liverpool. You will have a little cottage on my grounds at your disposal and you will continue to translate our little gem. When I have time, we will discuss your progress and put your translations to the test" he sais matter-of-factly.
„I certainly will put nothing to the test, sir! Until now, my notion was that I was to gain a theoretical knowledge of intercourse. I am your secretary, not your lover, your Grace".
„You keep saying that but you are very mistaken, my dear: You became my lover the minute you were clenching your thighs and convulsing from my words alone this morning." He stalks over and looms over me: „You! Are! Mine! Do not think for one minute that you can escape my attention. I am the Duke of Bridgewater and I will drag you back from any rabbit hole you think you can hide, my little bunny and nobody, NOBODY will hinder me. The mindfuck was just the predecessor. I will play with your body as I see fit and you will learn to play mine."
I feel myself turning pale and stutter „That is highly indecent!"
„We left any decency in my library, don't you think? Shall I repeat to you again what all the angels and devils do? I saw your arousal this morning, I smelled it, I even heard your squishing chalice when you clenched your thighs!"
I am appalled and cry „You couldn't have! I can't risk this. I just can't!
He tugs at my ringlet and croons: „You can and you will, my dear. Contrary to your believes, I handled most of my paramours with the upmost discretion. I understand your delicate situation and I give you my word that I will protect you from ruin... But nevertheless, I. Must. Have you!" He burys his nose in my hair and inhales until goosebumps shudder all over my skin. „So you can either come quietly as my respectable secretary and nobody will suspect a thing or I can use the Kamasutra's suggestion for unwilling maidens and drug you or forcibly carry you away after killing all your guards. But then, by tomorrow morning, probably all of London will know about our liaison. So what should it be, my love? Shall I toss you over my shoulder and carry you into my den? Or can I count onto your cooperation to pack your bag in a timely manner?
