Four months had passed since Normani decided to cut all sexual ties with Val. She ran into him at walmart with another woman in his arms. She was taken aback for a bit. But she held her composure reminding herself that it was for the best
" Hey Mani" She was so caught up in her thoughts she did not realize Val had reached in her presence.
" Oh hi"
" How have you been. I missed you a lot?"
" Why would you miss me. When you have someone else to miss"
" I dont know what you are talking"
" Really Val. I saw you not so long ago arm in arm with another woman"
" Oh Crystal. She is my best friend and beside she would be interested in you. She was checking you out a while ago"
" Oh....well it was nice running into you. I gotta go"
" Hey why dont we hang sometime"
" I am not down those hanging anynore Val"
" Its not like that. You think too much. Let me help you with that" He says grabbing the cart and pushing it up to the cashier
" I'll cover the costs" He hands his credit card to the cashier

" Shhh. Im not gonna take your protesting and if it makes you feel any better we can go hang at the park. Just call me if you make up your mind" He kisses the back of her hand as he places her groceries in the trunk and opens the door for her to enter into her car.
She gives him a brief smile and she leaves
" Why did I feel my cheeks go hot during our contact today. Nah, this cannot happen again. I was doing great for these 4 months. Why did I have to run into him today. Control yourself Normani" She says with exhaustion in her voice
