" Are you ready to find out the sex of your baby?"

" Yes. I was gonna wait for the father to get here. But it looks like it's not gonna happen, so go ahead".

" I can hold on for him".

" No please. I wouldn't want to keep your other patients waiting. Beside my best friend here, so go ahead".

" Okay"

He squeezes the gel onto her abdomen and and applies the ultrasound device over the abdomen, moving it around gently.

" Oh, look at those little hands Mani"

" They are so cute" They giggle.

" Okay, hmmm looks like you will be having a beautiful girl".

" Oh my God. I am so excited. I cannot wait to meet my little angel, my Leah".

" Leah, huh"

" Yeah you dont like the name?"

" Yes. It's cute just like her mom" She winks at her.

" Mani I'm so sorry for being late".

" Why even bother Val" She rolls her eyes.

" Babe....

" Don't babe me. The last time you were uninterested, in fact you made me end my unborn child's life".

" Uh, I'm gonna give you guys some privacy" The doctor says while cleaning up her abdomen, packing his stuff away and leaves the room.

" Hey boo"

" Really Val. You brought your hoe here as well?"

" She wouldn't leave me alone".

" Well excuse you. I'm having my man's child as well. So deal with it".

" Okay. That's it. Mani let's go and get your next appointment date and then we are getting out of here". She helps her off the bed and they leave the room.

" Fix your face babe".

" Go to fucking hell Jenna" He scoffs and chases after Normani.

" Normani please just listen to me. I love you. Had I not left my drink unattended hell I should not have even bought her story then none of this would have happened".

" Listen buddy, this what you are doing. It's not good for baby at all. So if you have one ounce of care as you claim, you will be present at the next appointment to give both mother and daughter your support".

" So we are having a baby girl?" He smiles

" Yes. The next appointment is on the 12th July. Be there" She guides Normani out of the clinic.

" I will" He smiles.

" Ready to go babe?"

" I am not going anywhere with you".

" Val I am carrying your child".

" I get that and I will be there for him or her. Just stay away from me otherwise". He walks away
