Chapter 10

Val heard the sound of his doorbell  and he yanks his head up from his television screen. He settled his beer on the table and ventured towards the door.

" Hey Val"

" What the fuck are you doing here Jenna?"

" Val...she sniffs...I haven't come here to cause problems for you. I came because I need someone to talk to".

" And you decided that you were gonna come all the way here. How did you even know where Im fucking living?"

" Val I was being abused...she breaks down and shows him the bruises on her arm.

He steps aside " Come on in"

" Would you like anything to drink?"

" A beer would be fine" She sniffs as he heads to the kitchen.

She eyes his movements before slipping something into his unattended beer.

" Here you go"

" Thank you"

He plops down beside her.

" So what happened exactly?" He brings the beer to his lips.

" Jerry, thats his name. Has been abusing me for months now. He threatened to kill me if I told anyone. It was a really scary situation Val, that night I thought I would have died....

She finds Val slipping into a slumber and she smirks immediately taking advantage of his vulnerability. She scoots onto his lap and begins to kiss him.

" Wh....what are you doing?".

" Shhh. Let me take care of you"

" I'm seeing....so....someone else" She says just above  a whisper. Just stop it"  He tries to push her off but the drug has contaminated his system. He begins to see Normani

" Mani...a smile plays onto his lips as he begins to kiss her seductively....I love you so much.

A smile plays on Normani's lips upon seeing 2 whatsapp messages from Val.

" What the fuck?"

Jenna and I had a great time last night. She will forever be the love of my life. We are over.

Normani dropped her phone in disbelief. She could not have believed that this was the same guy, who poured his heart out to her a few nights ago at Lauren's party. Now he screwed another woman and dumped her via social media. She dialed his number in a fit of rage and it went unanswered.

" Awww....my head is killing me" He notices the notification light blinking on his phone.

He swipes the screen which reveals a message from Normani a smile plays on his lips.

I cannot believe what you fucking did. Stay the fuck out of my life Val. I fucking hate you. You played with my fucking heart again, but foolish me fell for it. Just fuck off.

" Why would she send me such a message?"

He calls her and the calls goes unanswered. He gets dressed immediately and drives up to Normani's home. He bangs continuously on the door.

" What the fuck is wrong with you?" Camila snorts

" Is Normani here?"

" She doesn't to see you, you fucking animal. How many times are you gonna fuck with her heart?"

" I don't know what the fuck is going on...

" Oh don't play dumb now. How thoughtful of you it was to break up with her over whatsapp".

" What. I did not break up with her?"

" Val I am warning you. You sent her a fucking text informing her that you had sex with Joanna or whatever her name is and you always stuck it to her by sending pictures of you two fucking"

" Fuck" He tugs his hair cursing himself. " Jenna....she....oh no I think she drugged me".

" Really. Look Val just stay away from my best friend okay. You have hurt her enough. Good fucking bye" She slams the door in his face.

He was now in front of Jenna's appartment.

" Oh hi baby....

" Shut the fuck up" He storms inside.

" You fucking played me and I fell for it. Why did you send that fucking message to Normani?"

" Baby you and I belong together"

" Get your filthy hands off of me. I am in love with Normani Kordei Hamilton. Her and I belong together till death do us part. So get that delusional thought outta your head. Stay the fuck away from me or I will get an restraining order against your delusional ass" He storms out of her house leaving a screaming Jenna behind.
