" Hey Ms. Hamilton I have completed the work you asked me to do"
" Thank you. You can leave it on the desk over there" She says with a gesture while she contunues to work on her computer".
" Uh, can I talk to you for a second?"
" What is it Dinah I'm kinda busy?".
" It won't take long I promise"
" Have a seat" She leans back in her chair.
" Val has been talking about you a lot and....
" Whoa. What is this, Val. What the fuck has he been telling you about me?".
" He is my cousin and I scolded him a lot when he told me what he did to you. But Normani he loves you so much. He has been a mess of late".
" Look Dinah. I get that you are trying to help your cousin but I can never go back to that place with him. It would be too torturous".
" I understand. But you are a good woman and I hope that one yall can be close again. I will let you get back to your work".
She exits
Normani sighs. She did had feelings for him, but she was too scared to act on them once again
" Ms. Hamilton someone is here to see you" The voice beamed over the buzzer.
" Send them up".
" Hey Mani"
" Did you and your cousin decide to gang up on me?"
" No not all. I'm sorry for coming unannounced".
" Why are you here?"
" I was hoping maybe I can take you to lunch".
" Val didn't I tell you to stay away from me. Look I cannot do this with you anymore".
" Babe. Just tell me what you want me to do and I will do it".
" I WANT YOU TO FUCKING GET OUTTA MY LIFE"
"Mani I love you and I am so so sorry for all of the pain that I have caused you" He says cupping her face.
" You need leave. I am seeing someone else".
He drops his hands to his sides
" I will always love you Mani" He presses his lips against her causing her to give in eventually before he pulls back. " Good bye babe" He says and leaves.
