Rain had been steadily pouring for the last 3 days, and Ashton was getting restless. He had spent one day just watching TV and playing on his phone, another he spent with Luke just hanging out, and today; he was hanging out with Calum at the bar. "Cal, I've got a question for you." Ashton sighed, leaning on the bar. He sipped his beer as Calum turned to look at him.

"Yeah, what's your question?" Calum asked as he wiped the beer glass dry.

"What happened to Harley's parents?" Ashton asked, tired of just not knowing.

"Listen, that's for Harley to tell you." Calum sighed. "It's not my place to say it."

"But, she won't tell me. I asked her, and she got all angry at me and left." Ashton sighed. "I just want to know where they are."

"Mate, I know you're curious, but I really can't tell you that." Calum sighed softly and set the glass down. "It's Harley's issue, she has to be the one to tell you."

"Will she ever tell me?" Ashton asked, looking up at Calum.

"I don't know, Ash." Calum shrugged. "Harley's a very secretive and guarded person, she doesn't really let people in."

"I want her to trust me. I wouldn't hurt her." Ashton finished his beer and slid the bottle to Calum. He picked it up and put it in the recycling bin.

"She does trust you, just not enough to tell you these things yet." Calum cracked open another beer and handed it to Ashton. "She didn't even tell me until we had been friends for 10 years."

"I don't know what it is about her, but I just really want to know everything about her. Usually, I don't care to learn about others, but I just want to know everything about her."

"She has that affect on people. It's also why she doesn't date." Calum smiled softly. "She likes the rush of knowing that people want what they can't have."

"Hey, Cal, Killian just called and said he's not coming." Becca, one of the other bartenders, said. "My shift is over and I can't do a double. I've got a shift at the hospital tonight, too. "

"That's fine, I'll just stay longer." Calum nodded.  "I can call Randy if we get too busy."

"He's in Minnesota for a week for his sister's wedding."

"Oh, yeah, that's right." Calum sighed. "I'll just handle it myself then."

"I can help out, if you need it." Ashton suggested. "I was a bartender in high school for a year and a half."

"Yeah, that'd be great." Calum grinned. "It's hard doing this by myself."

"Okay, I'll see you later, Cal." Becca smiled softly at him and walked to the back employee room.

"I think she likes you." Ashton chuckled, joining Calum behind the bar.

"What? Really? You think so?" Calum sputtered, looking at Ashton with doe eyes.

"Woah, calm down, bud." Ashton laughed. "She totally likes you."

"Damn, I've had a crush on her since 4th grade." Calum blushes softly, glancing toward the back room.

"Why don't you ask her out? Maybe you'll actually get in a relationship." Ashton shrugged, tying an apron around his waist.

"Maybe. I've never actually been in a relationship before, but I'd like to be in one with her." Calum smiled and filled up a couple mugs with beer before taking them out to a table. Ashton stayed behind the counter for an hour before the big rush came in. Ashton smiled to himself when he caught the eye of a redhead sitting at the end of the bar. He walked down to her and flashed her a soft smile.
