That following day was full of many learning experiences. Ashton and Harley had woken up at 5:45 in the morning to Sydney crying, and all she wanted was some attention. The two of them had no idea what it would be like having Sydney home. They didn't get to see how she was as a baby, and now at 5 months old, they were just getting that chance. Harley was in the kitchen, Sydney on her hip, as she looked through the fridge. "What should we make today, Syd? Daddy suggested paninis, but those take a long time." Harley spoke, even though Sydney couldn't understand her.

"Paninis do not take that long!" Ashton yelled from outside the kitchen window, causing Sydney to giggle.

"Paninis take long enough, and I'm not making them." Harley rolled her eyes. "I'm just going to make regular sandwiches."

"Boo, you suck." Ashton pouted.

"No sandwiches for you then, asshole." Harley said, sticking her tongue at him. "Go do some work."

"I am working, Harley." Ashton whined.

"Then quit talking." She walked over to the window and pulled it shut. Ashton stood outside the window, his pout not leaving his face. Harley walked over to the counter and grabbed the bread and a few plates. She gave Sydney one of her toys to chew on while she made the sandwiches.

"Hey, what's for lunch?" Luke asked as he walked into the kitchen.

"Just sandwiches. Here, set the table." She handed Luke the plates.

"Woah, what the fuck is that?" Luke set the plates aside and grabbed Harley's hand, looking at the ring. "Is that what I think it is?" Harley pulled her hand away, blushing deeply. "Oh, God, finally. Harley and Ashton are engaged! It finally happened! We're getting a wedding!" Luke screamed, causing Sydney to start crying.

"Look what you did, Luke." Harley scolded, pulling Sydney closer to her. She rocked her gently to get her to calm down.

"But, you're engaged!" Luke yelled, jumping up and down.

"What's going on in here?" Tyler asked as he walked in with the others.

"Ring." Luke squealed, pointing at Harley's hand. Tyler turned and looked at Ashton.

"Yeah, we're engaged." Ashton spoke softly, trying not to smile too widely. "I asked her last night."

"I'm surprised she said yes." Tyler chuckled and grabbed Harley's hand, looking at the ring.

"Why would I not? I gave birth to his baby." Harley pulled her hand away.

"You've always been against marriage."

"That was before I found the love of my life." She smiled and kissed Ashton's cheek.

"So, do I get to be the best man then?" Michael asked, looking at Ashton.

"Why would you be the best man? I'm clearly a better man." Luke huffed.

"But, I helped pick out the ring, and I got Crystal to put it first above all the other orders." Michael smirked at him.

"Yeah, Lu. You're already the godfather, you don't get to be the best man, too." Harley laughed, handing Sydney to him so she could set the table.

"I should be both. I am the most important person in everyone's lives." Luke whined, looking down at Sydney. "Isn't that right, Syd Vicious?"

"Stop calling her that." Ashton groaned, taking Sydney from him.

"She likes it, though!" Luke countered.

"No, she doesn't. She thinks you're dumb." Ashton laughed and pressed a kiss to Sydney's head.

"Back to the more important issue, am I the best man?" Michael asked again.

"Yes, Mike, you'll be the best man."

"So, when's the wedding?" Luke asked, still bouncing on his heels.

"We want to wait a few years before we get married." Harley explained. "We want to raise Sydney without the worry of wedding planning getting in the way. We don't need all that stress."

"And, if you wait, she'll be old enough to be the flower girl." Hannah smiled, agreeing with their idea to wait.

"Yeah, exactly." Harley smiled.

"My two favorite girls in their prettiest dresses, making me the happiest man in the world. What could be better?" Ashton chuckled, a warm feeling spreading through his chest. In all 24 years of his life, Ashton had never felt more at home than he did when he was surrounded by this group of people.
