Chapter 7

I started school today so that may effect my updating schedule. I'm hoping that I can still do it every other day though. If I have to adjust it I'll let you know 😊
Eden's POV

Halee and I show up at the coffee shop and I spot Fionn behind the counter. We make eye contact and he looks away quickly, getting back to the customer.

Halee finds us a table. It's a blessing and curse that I can still see Fionn. Blessing because I love watching him and seeing him. Curse because there's something wrong and we can't really talk because he has to work and I have to do this project.

Connor walks in the coffee shop and Halee waves him over. He walks over and takes a seat with us. Him and Halee start discussing their ideas that they have came up with.

"Eden, go talk to him." Halee says getting my attention

"No I'm fine."

"But you're not, so go talk to him, so you can clear your mind. Then you can give us your off the wall ideas to help us get a good grade." She whispers to me.

I stand up and take a deep breath before walking over to him. There's not a line anymore so I walk right up to the counter.

Halee's POV

I send Eden to talk to Fionn. Something's not right between them and I really need her to focus.

Connor looks over to where Eden is and he gets  this weird, confused look on his face

"I know that guy working." He says almost in disbelief

"Fionn?" I question

"Yeah we went to high school together. I was two grades above him. I really hated him."

"Why he's so nice?"

"Oh god I was a complete dick." He says and I gesture for him to continue, "he was a freshman when I was a junior and my girlfriend at the time saw him and thought he was just the cutest thing. The first time I actually saw him thinking that my girlfriend thought he was cute made me mad. So I really just made his life hell the last two years I was there."

"Oh my god did you bully him?" I ask completely in shock

"I guess you could say that. He was just an easy target. He was just the opposite of me. I was athletic, tall, more muscular, and very stupid actually."

Is that why they're acting weird?

Eden's POV

I walk up to the counter and Fionn walks over to me. I want to kiss him but I'm afraid he doesn't want that right now.

"What's wrong Fionn?" I ask looking at him

"Nothing's wrong." He says

"I don't believe you. Talk to me, did I do something wrong? The way we were texting last night was not how we usually text."

"What are you talking about?"

"I know you know what I'm talking about, you did it on purpose." I say feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket.

"Oh I'm sorry." He says looking past me. I sigh and look at my phone. It's a text from Halee

Halee: Connor and Fionn know each other... but not in a good way 😬

I look up at him but he still isn't looking at me.

"You know him don't you?" I ask and he nods his head slightly.

He walks out from behind the counter and pulls me into a hug. I lay my head against his chest, his heart is beating rather quickly.

Our moment in each other's arms were interrupted by the chime of the door being opened. I groan holding him tighter not wanting to leave him.

"Uh I have to go babe." He says making my heart melt by the name he called me.

"Are you alone today?" I ask

"No Harry's in the back. He's supposed to be making cake pops. He's probably just eating them."

"Okay fine, I'll let you go. Can you come over so we can talk more later about what I originally came over here about? " I ask looking up at him

"Sure, I will pick up a pizza and we can talk...but I really need to go now." He says pressing his lips to mine softly before pulling away, going back behind the counter.

I touch my lips where his were moments ago and I smile to myself. He smirks slightly looking over at me then continuing to take the teen's very precise order.

I walk back over to the table that Halee and Conner are at. She smiles up at me and I can't tell if it's genuine or why did you leave me here for so long.

I sit down and begin to look at what they've started. I still can't focus all I want to do is look at Fionn.

I open my front door letting Fionn in. He sets the pizza box down on the counter. I grab two paper plates from the cabinet. Halee and I hate washing dishes, so I just buy paper plates.

"Where's Halee?" Fionn asks opening the pizza box

"She had to work, she gets off at nine. So it's just us for the night." I say going to the table sitting down with Fionn

"Sounds good, I don't mind being alone with you." He says putting his hand on my thigh.

"Halee told me what went on between you and Connor." I say putting my hand over his

"Oh, I see." He says removing his hand from under mine

"Was that wrong?"

"No, it's no problem. What did she tell you?"

"Just that he didn't like you because of his girlfriend, so he would kinda bully you." I say whispering the end looking up at him. He isn't looking at me he's looking at the wall behind me,  "He didn't give her any details, so I don't know anything else." He smiles slightly looking back over at me. I put my plate down on the table, and remove his from his hands

I get up from where I was sitting and begin to straddle him. I crash our lips together and wrap my arms around his neck. I play with his hair as we kiss. He moves all my hair to one side,then begins to kiss from my lips, down my jawline, stopping at my neck. He starts kissing and sucking on a spot on my neck right under my jaw.

Everything around me stops and the only thing I can feel is the feeling of Fionn's lips on me. He slightly bites down causing me to let out a moan in his ear. He starts pressing quick kisses around the hickey he just left on my neck. He kisses back up to my lips the same way he went down.

We pull away from each other and put our foreheads together. We slightly smile before I start giggling at us. I slightly touch the hickey he just left on my neck and I see him smirking at me.

I hear my phone ringing on the counter. I press a quick kiss to his lips before getting off of him. I walk to my phone still looking at Fionn. He makes me so happy and he has no idea.
I answer my phone without looking at who it is.

"Hello..." I say waiting for a response

"Eden, darling how are you?"

I put my pointer finger to my lips telling Fionn to stay quiet.
