The next day I walk alone as usual to school, it's been a month now.
" hey Lucy " Cody smiles at me
I wave back and look at the classroom door; I'm trying to think of who called or texted me.
I roll my eyes and forget about it.
" hey lucy " Kylie smirks at me and I stare her down
" what now ? "
" good girl, you backed off my man .. good job ! " she says
" you sent that text ! " I say and she says yes with a fake smile.
Now who called me ?
During my history class I go to the bathroom; feeling a headache coming along. In there I meet Peyton; who is sitting on the bathroom sink top.
" hey Lucy .. " she smiles
" ummm .. hi " I mumble
" look I'm sorry for being a bitch to you .. " she says and I nod
Then she gets up and stands right in front of me, nose to nose with her I get uncomfortable.
" Lucy I mean it ... I'm really sorry " she whispers to me
" alright ... just back up ple - " she cuts me off by putting her lips on mine.
" mmmph " I groan and she sticks her tongue in my mouth.
" Peyton stop please " I start crying, remembering what Bryan did to me.
" oh my gosh, Lucy I'm so sorry " she starts panicking and I try to calm her down.
" Lucy I'm really sorry !!! " she starts crying and I grab tissues.
" I was the one who called you .. Kylie and Kendall would kill me ... " she says
I knew it, that voice sounded familiar! So Peyton likes me ... Its okay though that she likes me; it's crazy she's the first girl that likes me.
" ohh, so you're going to keep bullying me or something to hide your secret ... " I say with hurt in my voice
" no, I'm willing to get beat up for you ... I'm really sorry " she wipes her eyes and I look at her.
" Peyton I don't want you to get hurt .. "
" Lucy ... I really like you and want to hang out with you but in order to do that I have to stand up to Kylie and kendall.. " she says and I nod
" I never really enjoyed their company anyways ... "
My phone buzzes
Cody: where are you ?!
I roll my eyes and stuff the phone in my pocket. Peyton looks at me and then looks away.
" you like Cody ? " she asks
" nooo, he saved me from my abusive parents.. he let me stay over at his house but I felt uncomfortable. I decided to leave ... we didn't have sex " I say and Peyton smiles
" I know you guys didn't have sex " she says
" oh, we should get to class "
During lunch I take out my sketchbook and start to doodle some flowers. While doodling the fourth flower I notice kendall and Kylie yelling at Peyton. It makes me so furious how they treat other people, I'd like to see someone else pick on them. When I look back up at them Peyton's bleeding from the nose and kendall is laughing.
" GO YOU TRAITOR, GO HANG WITH YOUR SLUTTY FRIEND " kylie yells and Peyton picks up her bag; then sits with me.
" hey Lucy " she holds her nose up and I hand her my napkins.
I feel bad because I'm the cause of all this.
" so you told them .. " I say taking a sip of my grape soda.
" yeah, Lucy I know you won't ever go out with me but we can always be friends " Peyton says making me smile.
" hey Lucy " I can tell Cody said that and I turn around to see him smiling.
" hi Cody " Peyton and I both say
" wow, you made a new friend " he chuckles and I frown
" what's that supposed to mean ? " I ask starting to get upset, does he not think I'm capable of making friends ?!
" ummm I thought you were like ... "
" like what ? "
" antisocial ... or something " he says
" what the hell... yeah I haven't had friends for years now, I've had problems before and I still do. I made a friend and she's really nice to me " I say
" how do you know that she's kind ? She hung out with Kylie and kendall !! "
" SHE STOOD UP FOR ME ! Something you wouldn't do ... and it's real weird how everyone found out I moved out of your house ... " I yell a little bit and Peyton smiles.
She stood up for me, so I have to stand up for her.
" LUCY YOU'RE SUCH A BITCH ! " he yells and I slump down in my chair.
" LUCY'S NOT A BITCH, YOUR JUST A BAD FRIEND .... NOW BEGON YOU ASSHOLE !! " Peyton yells at him and I smile.
So basically by tomorrow everyone's against Peyton and I.
Including Cody and his best friends.
I don't even understand why.
I sit on my desk chair and start doing homework; when my phone starts buzzing.
