"Vanessa" I knock on her bedroom door.
"Come in" She says and I do to see her writing in a book.
"Hey Luce" she smiles and I take a seat on the side of her bed.
"What's t- that ?" I ask looking at her book and she puts down her pencil.
"My diary" she answers
"I h-had a d-diary when I was y-younger but my m-mom b-burned it w-when my f-father died" I say and Vanessa rubs my shoulder.
"Nessa" I look at my hands then at my sister.
"Yeah ?" She answers
"I th-think I like C-Cody" I say and her jaw drops.
"Really ?" She asks
"Y-yes I k-know I'm d-dumb for liking h-him b-but .." my voice trails off when we hear a knock on the door.
We both walk downstairs to see Cody with a basket.
"Hey" he waves at us and we look at each other then smile.
"What's in the basket mister ?" Vanessa asks and I start to laugh.
"Lunch" Cody answers
"Thought you girls might want to have a picnic" he says
"Is this a date for Lucy and you ?" Vanessa asks looking at the pink roses.
".. yeah but I didn't want to be rude and exclude you, so wanna join ?" He asks politely and Vanessa shakes her head.
"I'll chill at home; don't want to miss the new season of riverdale" Vanessa smiles and I smile back.
"Have fun kids, also Cody if you hurt Lucy or have anyone hurt her I will hurt you" Vanessa hollers as we walk out the door.
"Be safe and remember have her home by 8" she says
"Will do" Cody says and I laugh.
