Chapter 21

3rd Person POV

"Stop crying my dear princess."

Minutes has passed and Elanne's loud sobbing finally stopped.

"Are you alright, dear?" Eunsuk asked her daughter and Elanne nodded.

"I know that this is too much to take in right now, but I am happy that we finally meet." Eunsuk smiled and hugged Elanne so tightly.

A soft chuckle escaped from Elanne's lips as she says "I'm happy that we finally met, mother."

Elanne's POV

Hugging her makes me feel at peace when I remembered something.

"Mom?" I asked as I looked up to her face. She looked down at me as she hummed a questioning tone.

"Did you die in the war?" I asked with a shaking tone.

She looked at me then looked at the pond. "Hmm. Yes, yes I did die in the war bu-"

I cut her off. "Then why are you in front of me alive, breathing, talking, and I can physically touch?" I asked.

"Dear, I did die... but being in this world makes me immortal because this is my own realm which is now yours." She said.

"Your... own world?" I asked.

"Yes... this is the Rose Realm or World. I stayed here for years waiting for you to come and now look at you, you're all grown up." She said as her eyes went teary.

"Mom, don't cry... I am here now and that is all that matters." I said as I gently placed my palms on her cheeks.

"But you can't stay here forever, Elanne. You are needed on earth. A lot of people are expecting you to wake up, especially Gahyeon." She said as she pointed to the pond.

The pond revealed an image of Gahyeon with the Boys in a hospital room looking worried. I saw myself laying on a hospital bed with a lot of tubes connected to me.

"Mom, why are you showing this to me?" I asked.

"Because they need you out there, El. They need your presence." She said as she pointed to the pond once again.

It showed Gahyeon again, but this time Crying.

I looked back at Mom and she said "Go back there, El."

"Mom? Come with me to earth." I said.

Queen Eunsuk smiled but shakes her head. "I can't dear."

"But why?" I asked.

"We can't both exist on earth. It will bring imbalance to both worlds." She said.

"If I leave, this world will die because I act as the Heart of this World." After saying that it made me understand that if she leaves this world, this world will collapse because she is the heart of this World.

"But mom... can we see each other again?" I asked

"Of course, dear." She said as she embrace me. "We will meet again when the time is right... and this time with your father." She said as she released me.
