Hey everyone. Hope all is well. I know it's been a  loooong while. I do apologize. Not only have I been extremely busy, but I was away on vacation to Disney, plus it was Summer Vacation for my kids who thank God started back in school this week.

I will be busy for the next month, so I may not be able to update any of my stories, but I will try my hardest. Hope you all had a great Summer and good luck to all that are heading back to school. Good luck.

Thanks for Reading, Voting and Commenting. Stay Safe! Bye!

Brayden's P.O.V.

Having to wake up early to go through some contracts, I decided to go check up on Isabel. It was around 6:45 in the morning. Stopping in front of her closed bedroom door, I make sure that I don't make too much noise once I open it. Cracking the door open enough that I can stick my head in, I notice it was still a bit dark and quiet inside.

Stepping inside I walk towards the bed. Something didn't feel right. "Isabel?" whispering her name so I wouldn't startle her. "Isabel?" but no response.

Extending my hand to shake her shoulder gently, I only feel a pillow. Creasing my eyebrows in confusion and quickly lifting the cover off the bed, I see it empty. Standing straighter I turn to face where the bathroom is. It was open with no light on. Turning on my heels I head out of the room so I can check if she is downstairs. Maybe she is in the living room watching t.v. or she may be in the kitchen making herself a hot chocolate or breakfast.

Reaching the last step of the staircase I once again notice that the downstairs floor is dark and quiet. Not good.

Heading to the kitchen the only light shone was the small light that is left above the stove. There was no sign of her. Sh*t!

Something told me to check the garage. Rushing to the door, I swing it open, the light automatically turning on. My eyes look forward to the alarm pad on the other side. Walking up to it I quickly noticed that it was disarmed. Double sh*t!

Opening the door that lead to the driveway and to the street, I brace myself for the cold morning. The sting on my face hit me but I stepped out to look around. Noticeable foot prints were on the freshly fallen snow. They lead to the gate which lead to the street. This is not good.

Turning on my heels to make my way back inside, I close the door behind me. She somehow had the code to the alarm to disarm it. How?  When did she leave? We need to find her. She was out there alone, trying to get away from us.

Holding myself up against the kitchen island once back inside, I close my eyes, inhaling and exhaling. I needed to clear my head and not think the worst -- which wasn't going to be easy. My stomach turned knowing that she was gone and that I had to go wake my brother up and tell him the bad news.

Aiden's P.O.V.

"... if she's not in the Motel, then see if anyone saw her. Threaten them, even pay them. I don't give a f**k what you do. Just find her!" ending the call with Olan.

Dragging both hands down my frustrated face I hear Brayden ending his conversation on his cell.

"All right Godfather. Please let us know if she does go in. We are worried about her. Love you too. Bye."

"Anything?" I ask quickly. I was getting impatient.

He shook his head no. "He hasn't spoken to her since we brought her here and he has no idea where she could be. Since she has no family or friends, she could have just disappeared anywhere." sighing in frustration as he plops on the leather chair in front of my desk.

I couldn't help but clench my jaw and fists. Where the hell could she be?

Isabel disappearing early this morning was the last thing on my mind when I woke up. I was getting ready to step out of my bedroom when I bump into Brayden in the doorway. His pale face and worried expression took me by surprise.

"She's gone. Isabel is gone." he had said.

"What do you mean gone?"

"Gone as she left. I went to check up one her and she wasn't in her room."

"Did you check the rest of the house?" asking quickly.

"Jeesh... why didn't I think of that." responding in a sarcastic way. "I checked the whole house, even the garage. That's the way she left through."

Lifting my eyebrows confused I had asked. "How, if you have to put in the alarm code."

"I know that, but somehow she knew it and has been planning to leave. Just like I told you she would have if you hadn't --." he shook his head.

"Wait? You are blaming me? We gave her a choice Bray. She could have taken our proposal and stayed here where we would have taken care of her. She had nothing to worry about, but her hard headed stubborn ass decided to take off again."

"Yeah Aiden. I wonder why?" turning around he headed towards the office where I followed him to continue making phone calls.

Sitting down on the chair, I laid my head back and closed my eyes. I had to clear my anger to think clearer.

We stayed in silence for a while until I heard Brayden's voice say. "Do you think she left the city?"

I didn't answer right away. "I really don't know Bray. I hope she didn't."

"You know she left because you demanded she stayed. She may have decided to stay if you hadn't been so harsh." blaming me once again.

"She wasn't listening to reason. What did you want me to do? Cuddle her like you have been? She's no child Brayden. Isabel is more than capable to make a decision without having to runaway." making my point across.

Glaring up at me he quips back. "You're an a**hole Aiden. You know the crap she's been through. She was ready to agree until you went all neanderthal on her and made it seem she had no choice."

"She didn't. We told her we wanted her. Have whatever she wanted in life. Why couldn't she just take the offer and be happy? Anyone else would have."

Narrowing his eyes at me, he stood up shaking his head back and forth. Walking up to the doorway and stopping, he turns his head to the side. "That was your mistake Aiden. Thinking that she would be happy with our proposal and thinking that she was anyone else."

Watching my brother leave the office, I drag my hands down my frustrated face again. I am an a**hole. But it's only because I want Isabel to be here safe and sound with us.

... and if I have to tear this city upside down to find her and drag her stubborn ass back here so she will be? So help her God Almighty, I will do it.
