Ten years later:
Michael collier searched the mansion for the medallion that held the secrets to the rose. He'd never lost it before he tried to remember when he saw it last. His mind went back in time in order to play out the pieces to the puzzle that plague him the most. Without the medallion he knew that he would not gain entrance to enter where the rose rested.
It was a cold and rainy night the winds blew with vengeance and lightening flashed with anger. Michael was the first to go see Lucian in his dungeon it had now been ten years. He wanted to know if Lucian knew the whereabouts of the medallion since he was snooping around the mansion. He figured that maybe the answers laid hidden within Lucian's mind. If he did have it Lucian would sure know it soon enough. Michael sat in the corner of the cave he hasn't heard the sound of anyone in such a long time.
Becca grew strong she was now everything Lucian designed her to be. He loved Becca like no other it was her that stood by his side in battles they never lost. Susan understood her place in the vampire family she knew that she was respected by all within the clan. Although she still wanted to be by Michael side as his queen the way Becca did with him as her father. The pain of him not showing her that he cared for her was unbearable to Susan. She wanted Becca gone it was the only way she could rule as queen. She saw no reason for anyone else to take her place she was the first and Michael knew the throne belonged to her. She didn't understand why he act the way he did when it came to her. She knew Michael had love for her but she also knew that he didn't trust her as his queen. He didn't think Susan was ready to rule anyone let Alone the vampire race. To Michael Susan was a hot head someone who would jeopardize the entire Existence of there kind. He still never told Susan that he knew about what she done in Transylvania and why she was home. He waited for years for her to come to him and tell him the truth but she never did. He wasn't sure if he could trust Susan the way he once did. He now focused all his attention on Becca the one vampire of whom he knew would never turn on him for any reason. She was his greatest creation and he was proud of who she had become.
Becca stood by Michaels side like a well trained soldier. She never let anyone or anything get close to him. No one was allowed to be in his presence without her being around to make sure nothing happened to him. Susan chuckled at the thought of Michael needing Becca for protection. She knew that he needed no one he never has in all the time she knew of him.
Scott Daniels was home alone Renee and there child went over to visit her mom for a while. He couldn't remember the last time he had been in the house by himself. He missed the both of them very much he wished that they were there with him to keep him company. There was nothing special on the television that could occupy his mind from being bored. He soon found himself getting restless and began to fall asleep. At first he thought that he was dreaming he heard a loud noise that startled him out of his daze. He jumped to his feet hurrying to find the source of the noise. He soon found himself face to face with the one thing he thought he left behind in Carnival. Michael grabbed Scott by the throat he could not shake the feeling that he was going to die. Michael ask for the object that he knew Scott had in His possession. He wanted for the human to be fair with him and just give back what did not belong to him and he would leave. Scott explained to Michael that he no longer had the object he was now looking for. He told him that he threw the object into the lake a long time ago and that he did not think it belonged to anyone at the time. Michael was furious he wanted to kill Scott for what he done. Michael knew he would need him later to help find the object he wanted so badly. He spared Scott's life but only for that reason alone Michael let him live. It seemed ironic that the two of them kept crossing path's. Scott realized that at that very moment he would never get rid of the monster who walked the earth as a man.
Michael went to the lake he didn't have a clue to where Scott threw the object. He searched and searched but only to come up empty handed everytime. It didn't take long before he found what he was looking for at the bottom of the lake. The object had rusted out from years of erosion he scoop it up and then went on his way as if he was never there.
Scott was worried Renee knew that something was deeply on his mind. She tried to asked several times if he was okay although he assured her that he was she knew that he was lying. Scott was distant he stayed to himself wondering how did Michael know where he lived? He poured himself a glass of scotch he knew that he would have to relocate once again. He hoped that he would not be like the criminals he use to catch who ran away when he came around. He figured that the strange object he threw into the lake would cause him problems. Something in the back of Scott's mind told him that this would not be the last time he would see the man who claimed to be a modern day vampire.

Becca smith was hardly ever home anymore in a way Michael saw her rebellion as to being something she was taught By Susan. Susan loved when Becca wasn't around it was the only time she could have a decent conversation with Michael without Becca listening to there every word. She begged Michael to get rid of Becca before she do away with them all. Michael refused to listen to what Susan was saying about Becca. Susan knew that when it came to Becca her plea fell on deaths ears. Susan decided to leave well enough alone for now she poured herself her favorite blood drink and went back to her room.
