One month later:

Things turned for the worst for the humans the vampire race conquered most part of the earth and the humans were afraid to come out there homes. No one believed in the news anymore as a source of information to what was  taking place in the world. All who was left knew that one way or another the things that lurked in the night killed there loved ones. These things weren't animals at all at lease not the kind of animal the people knew of Scott explained. The military officer listen as Scott began to ramble on about things that go bump in the night.

Van Helsingborg had his hands full with hunting vampires. He and his hunters had killed many vampire's on there quest to reach the whereabouts to Michael's new home somewhere in Canada.

Michael Collier kept the boy by his side every chance he could. The child began to become comfortable in Michael's presence. The child was led to believe that Michael was his uncle and that he was to be raised by him because of the death of his parents. Because of the child's age Michael knew that the boy didn't understand what he was saying. He grabbed onto the child's hand and led him to the catacombs within his knew home. Michael had much work to do in finishing the catacombs layout. This time he wanted the catacombs to be deeper than the lair he had made in carnival. His family was growing there was more sires sired to whom ever sired them then he could keep up with. Michael was lonely he kept the boy around for his own personal gain no other vampire was allowed to say a single word to the boy at anytime when he was not around. Whatever the child needed it was done Michael saw to that. He made sure the boy was comfortable he had no plans of ever returning the boy back to his biological father. This child was his a sort of payment for his father throwing away the key medallion into the lake. Michael wanted to make Scott hurt for what he started back in carnival when he was a detective. If only he had kept away things would be different Michael whispered while watching the boy from afar.

Michael returned to top side with the boy by his side. Many vampires within the home looked at him as if he had gone crazy. Steven was the first to question his reason for wanting to keep the child... Why must we have the child around asked Steven?' Michael wasn't up for Stevens twenty one questions he gave Steven one look that spoke for itself. Susan shook her head at the sight of a human child being in the presence of so many deadly Nosferatu's. She knew that it was like taking candy from a baby and that if Michael slipped one time the boy would die by one of there hands.
Susan wondered what was going on inside Michael's head... Why was he keeping a human child to raise as his own she asked herself?'  She continued to watch the boy clutch Michael's hand as if Michael was truly his dad. Susan remembered all the times when Michael forbid her to mingle with human contact now he was oding the exact same thing. Susan shook her head at the sight of them she returned to her room got dressed and left.

Michael tucked Scott Junior safely in his bed he watched him  asept. For the first time in a long time Michael remembered his own childhood. He hadn't felt that way about anyone since he created Becca of which he didn't see much of anymore... You will be different he whispered as he continued to watch the boy sleep. Michael wanted badly to sire the child  but first he wanted to see if the boy would bond with him on his own. He left the room in a hurry there were so much he had to catch up on. Things such as finishing the catacombs so that the rose would have a secret resting place. Things like making sure all was well within there new home. Things such as paying Scott a visit in jail to let him no of the fate of his child
Becca was her own woman now she didn't need the help of Susan and haven't for quite some time. She made her own decisions anything she wanted to do she just did without the permission of any other  vampire telling her it was forbidden. Susan kept her order of elders spying on Becca's every move.
What was sad about the time they waste was that Becca knew they were watching her and said nothing. She figured that Susan was not going to let her roam without feeling as though she needed her help to stay in line. Becca still had love for Susan but there was no way in hell she was going to stay under her side forever. Becca knew that she was powerful and could do anything. There was no limit to how high she could go as a vampire it was her destiny to be all she could be as an original hybrid. She often heard Michael saying that the sky's the limit but she doubted that the sky was all there was with the abilities she possessed. She knew that she was more than just a vampire and that she was more powerful than all of them put together. If need be she would leave Michael's side for good and one day start her own race of hybrids who would rule them all as an original of her own kind.

Scott Daniels was out on bail for the murder of His wife and missing child. He didn't want to return to his home but he had nowhere else to go. He often thought about Scott Junior he wondered where he was and if he was still alive. He knew he had to do everything possible to get his son back home to him... "But what he thought?" He knew what he was up against after all this wasn't your everyday average human being. This was a vampire or at lease a crazy man who has his child. He felt helpless he thought of Scott Juniors being scared and alone the thought hit him of how he failed his son as a father. He held his head in his hands as tears began to trickle down his face. His mind told him that he was a failure he let that thing kill his wife and kidnap his only child the one thing he had left. He reached inside his dresser drawer and pulled out a revolver. He place the gun fully loaded inside his mouth he wanted to pull the trigger but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Michael watched as Scott lay crying on his bed as a failure not only to his child but to death as well.
Michael felt sorry for Scott he realized the only thing left for him to do was kill himself. Scott wished the vampire would just come and take his life for him. He had nothing else to live for everything he ever loved was gone. He'd blamed the police force for what was happening to him. If only he had never been assigned to that case in Carnival he thought.

Scott began to drink heavy he often day dream of his wife and child playing in the back yard. He could still smell the aroma of her cooking as he tour the house for the first time since that fatal night. On the bathroom floor lay his wife ear ring snugged neatly in the corner of the tub. He bent to retrieve the ear ring he could see that there was blood dried up on its side. Next he looked into his sons room only to find that it was empty. The thought of his boy never returning home scared Scott the most. He poured himself another drink and begun to rest his thoughts became heavy on his mind. Soon he found himself drifting off to sleep he could no longer hold back the sleep that was so long over due.
Michael hovered over Scott as he slept he could see the blood coursing through the veins in Scott's neck. He wanted to bite Scott instead he let him live Michael wanted to see Scott waste to nothing. He set back and watched it all unfold Right before his vampiric eyes. He laugh as he knew that the one thing that could bring his empire to and end was not going to say anything to anyone. After all who would believe a drunkard whispered Michael as he continued to watch Scott take drink after drink.

Michael had won Scott had gave up on himself there was no reason to turn him now thought Michael as he disappeared into the night leaving Scott to drink his life away.
