Three days later Michael began to become sick at first his mother thought of his illness to be of something he ate or touched in school. But little did she know that what poor little Michael colliers was experiencing was far from a simple cold. His symptoms had progress to worse in a matter of days. He was no longer eating his meals he stayed in his room mostly in the dark complaining that his eyes was hurting from the sun light that Pearce through his window. Michael would never be the same at lease not the same little boy his mom knew of.

Two weeks had past and Michael had started showing signs of Improvement he was now up and about as if nothing had ever happen. At first Michael wore sun glasses to protect his eyes from the sun light. The transformation that was starting to take place within him was happening fast even he didn't know what he was soon to become.

Michael grew stronger each day he found him self being able to do things no other kid his age could do. But for Michael he loved being able to out shine all the others at school. It was something he was not able to do before. This made him more popular with the girls in his school but there was only one girl he like more than life itself and that was Abby Sinclair. He made sure that she saw him excel in every sport he played in. After all he was only doing it for her to begin with. Michael never like to play in any sport he had always been a sort of wimpy kid growing up. But now she started to see something different in him something that she couldn't put her finger on. She often wondered about asking him to study with her but that would be out of the question she whispered to her self as she walked home from school.

Meanwhile Michael Collier wondered about his new found ability to excel in many things. He also wondered about his appetite for blood. It was now coming to the point that he could smell the blood in everything that was ether human or animal. The thirst for blood grew stronger each passing day until he couldn't take it anymore. He stared at the dog that continued to bark out side his widow. Michael notice that he could see the veins in the dogs neck every time it barked. He could even smell the blood that coursed through its body. He was now becoming frightened he didn't know what was going on with himself. How was this possible he thought as he stood in the window trying to fight the urge to kill the dog and consume its blood.
