Chapter 20 The Forest Temple

I woke up to the smell of cooking meet. "Good morning sleepy head." Cypress said. Cypress was the only one awake. She was cooking some meet on a fire in the middle of the room. There was a hole in the sealing for ventilation. "You and your friends do like to sleep."

"Can you blame us for having such a long day yesterday?"

"I guess not, anyways I talked with Julia last night, and I was wondering if I could join you guys? I have good reason to kill Preface Zeu, and with my powers I can be quit useful in a fight. So can I join you?"

"Of cores, we can take all of the help we can get."

"Thank you so much." Cypress ran over to me, and hugged me, then pulled away quickly. "Sorry, the meet is done, can you wake up the others. After we eat we will talk about our plans for the day."

"Sounds good." I said. I woke everyone up, and we ate some delicious meet.

"That was good." Julia said as she pat her belly.

"No kidding, it was great." Jason said.

"Cypress, you said you wanted to talk about the plans for today." I said.

"I don't remember her saying that." Jason said.

"She said that while you were asleep." I said. "She is also joining us, she wants to kill Preface Zeu, so I thought why not. Any objections?

"None from me." Jason said.

"I'm happy to have her." Julia said.

"Looks like we have a new member." Henry said.

"I am so glad that you will let me join." Cypress said. "So you guys want to get information on how to get to the underworld?"

"Yes." I said.

"The best way to get information is to talk to a god." Cypress said.

"But the people said that the gods weren't responding to them." Jason said.

"I know, but the people have been trying to contact them through shrines. I have a feeling that Preface Zeu sent monsters form the land of the dead to attack the gods."

"So where can we find the gods, to save them?" Julia asked.

"The gods all live in temples that were built for them. Sequoia is the Goddess of the forest, the god that is most worshipped by the Frunze tribe. Sequoia is caring and nurturing. Everyone in the Frunze tribe feels like she is there mother. So like any child, the people of the Frunze tribe started to freak out when there mom doesn't respond. That is probably why they let you in, and told you to go to my cave. They were looking for anyone who could save their mother."

"So how do we get to the temple?" Henry asked.

"It's not far from here. We just head further west."

"Why hasn't anyone from the Frunze tribe gone to the Temple?" Julia asked.

"All of the Temples to the gods were built by hundreds of years ago, they are filed with traps that can kill you."

"Sounds like fun." I said. Julia glared at me.

"So what makes you think that we can make it through these tarps?" Jason asked.

"Because we have two sorcerers. Besides me, there aren't any sorcerers in the Frunze tribe.

"I see." Henry said

"We head for the Forest Temple." I said.

"Are you sure?" Jason asked.

"Well we need to get information, right? So who better, then a god?"
