Calum's POV

"Cal, do you know how to answer this?" The blue eyed boy asked, raising his worksheet up to the camera so that I could have a clear view of it.

Luke and I had been calling each other almost every day for the past week, deciding to just ditch twitter and converse normally instead. He had warmed up to talking to me after a few calls, and now he was back to his chirpy, sassy self like he was in our dms. However, I always never failed to make his cheeks heat up, a new pastime of mine I've discovered.

I swiftly brought my mind back to reality and squinted my eyes to read the question, huffing a little once I realised I had no clue as to how to solve it.

Now I really regretted dropping out of school.

"Sorry babycakes, unfortunately I don't," I sighed, feeling as though I've let him down.

"It's okay Cal, don't beat yourself up over it. It's just a question," He reassured, making me wonder if he could actually read my mind.

"I don't deserve you," I blurted out, causing him to furrow his eyebrows.

"What do you mean? If anything I am the one who doesn't deserve such a kind person like you pooh bear," He chirped, trying to cheer me up.

"We all know that's a lie," I argued.

"Well, in my world, it's the truth," He sassed back, flicking his non-existent hair.

"You're weird."

"Aww thank you Cal how sweet of you to say that," Luke replied sarcastically, making me roll my eyes playfully.

"Weird but cute," I added, making his cheeks flush red.

"Score!" I cheered, fist pumping the air.

"Is this funny to you?" The blonde questioned, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance.

"Yep," I stated, popping the 'p'.

"Sometimes I wonder how we're friends," He giggled before turning his attention to his phone.

I cringed slight at the word 'friends' because maybe, I wanted something more.

I stared at him curiously as he typed away at his phone furiously, sticking his tongue out a little.

"Who ya texting?"

"Troye," He stated plainly, eyes still focussed on his device.

"Troye?" I probed, wanting to know more about their relationship.

"Mhmm," He replied, tearing his gaze away from his screen and back to his worksheet, filling up the blank.

"Is he your boyfriend or something?" I asked nervously.

Once that question slipped past my lips, he was thrown into a fit of giggles.

"What? What's so funny," I asked, clearly confused.

"Troye's my best friend Cal," Luke replied, wiping away the tears from his eyes as his laughter died down a little.

"O-Oh," I stuttered out, feeling slightly embarrassed then.

"Why? You jealous or what?" He smirked playfully, wiggling his eyebrows.

"N-No I'm not!" I huffed, trying my best to sound stern.

"Aw that's cute, you're totes jealous," The blue-eyed boy stated, resting his chin on the palm of his hand as he grinned at the screen.

"Fine, you're right. I am jealous okay?" I said, defeated.

"It's okay Cal, I like you too," The blonde replied, quickly slapping his hand over his mouth in shock once those words left his lips.

A silence was cast over us as we sat still, the both of us too appalled to utter a single word.

Those four words kept replaying in my head like a broken record and my heart beat ever so quickly.

"You l-like me?" I asked in disbelief as it never occurred to me that he would reciprocate my feelings.

"Y-yeah I d-do," He murmured but still loud enough for me to hear.

"Ba-"

"It's okay if you don't feel the same way though! I understand. No one likes me. It would be a miracle if you fe-"

"Babyboy," I spoke, cutting off his ramble.

He gazed up at me, tears prickling the sides of his eyes which made my heart clench.

"Y-Yeah?" He sniffled.

"I like you too," I blurted out, making Luke stare at me in shock.

"I like you from your adorable little pixie nose, to those enthralling icy blue eyes of yours," I said, making him blush furiously.

"I adore the little freckles that decorate your cheeks and that one dimple you have whenever you smile. Your voice is like music to my ears and gosh, I could listen to you go on and on for days. I absolutely love that pet name you've given me, it just sounds perfect whenever it rolls off your tongue and on top of that, it reassures me that I hold a special place in your heart. The way your nose scrunches up and lips curve into a smile is incredibly adorable, I'm envious of anyone who has had the pleasure of witnessing it personally. Basically, you're like a walking masterpiece... You also have an angelic laugh and it never fails to make my worries disappear, lifting my spirits from the depths of despair. The sweaters you adorn never fail to make you appear so soft and cuddly, I can't wait for the day I can finally hold you in my arms. I love your personality, how you can be adorable yet sassy, and lastly..." I trailed off, watching as a tear slipped out of his eye, giving me the urge to reach through the screen and brush it away.

"I like you," I confessed, feeling a heavy weight being lifted off of my shoulders.

"C-cal," He sniffled, tears running down his cheeks.

"Don't cry babe," I frowned.

"S-sorry I'm just..."

"Happy?" I finished off his senstence for him.

"Yeah," He said with a smile.

"I can say the same thing love. You've no idea how long I've been waiting for this moment for," I breathed out.

"Really?'

"Yes, really."

"I like you too, pooh bear," Luke beamed, joy radiating off his body, making my heart flutter once again.
