9: Go and Meet Death
Rachael Truth slumped onto her bed and took out her phone. She switched it on, punched in the passcode and tapped 'messages'. She selected 'Ethan' and began to type:
U nearly here? Been waiting in with every1 4 9mins.
Rachael hit 'send'. Hopefully the message would come through quickly.

Ethan Fellow zapped the gold UFO. Wahoo! They were worth one hundred points. That would take him through to the next level. Two banners came up on the vast screen in the control room. One was the standard level up message he had installed. The second appeared at the top of the screen. It was a text from Rachael, the councillor at Death. She was a year older than him, fourteen, and was one of the six kids who found him on the streets and told him that he was an Elementist. It was the seven of them who were there when...

U nearly here? Been waiting in with every1 4 9mins.

A few more seconds and they'd be ready to land.
Ethan heard Sasha ask in a mock little girl's voice, "Are we nearly there yet?"
He called back, "Yep. We're right over Willow Forest. Get ready to land, folks."

Olivia Green sighed. There was nothing more frustrating than sitting down to watch an exciting new David Attenbrough documentary on TV and finding out that a rabbit had chewed the wires.
