Looking through the old pictures from when I was working at WICKED...
Makes me wish I never left him, ya know?
But then again, I wouldn't have to watch him suffer in that maze if I had stayed.
Charlie rubbed her eyes, after feeling like she had slept for days. She shifted in a pile of warm, fluffy covers and covered her face with a pillow. Someone rubbed her back, making it seem like she was in a dream still. Charlie rolled onto her stomach, getting a deeper back rub then she had lying on her side.
Then reality hit.
Charlie jumped, falling off the bed once more, landing on her butt, then scrambling to her feet. She pushed herself against the wall of the dark room, hoping that whoever was in the room with her, would not see where she was.
"Charlie?" a shadow sat up from in the bed. Charlie's heart beated faster, as she tried to remember who it could be. "You good?"
She tried to make out the figure before she was forced to respond. "Y-yeah, I-I'm fine." Charlie said, shaking a bit. "Ok, where's the pistol... I need my pistol so that whoever it is that was sleeping next me tries to kill me, I can shoot, and sprint off." she thought, trying to make a plan. Her eyes darted around, trying to adjust to the darkness.
Charlie took a small step to the left, then without knowing, bumped into a piece of furniture, sending her to the floor once more.
"Charlie!" The shadow jumped out of the bed, running to her aid Charlie scrambled around, hoping to get far away from the figure as possible, but it was no use.
"Get away from me!" She screamed. Charlie's hand moved around the floor, searching for something that could possibly be thrown.
Finally, she grasped an empty water bottle and threw it as hard as she could. Nothing happened, but it was the thought that counted.
"If you stopped resisting, this would be a lot easier." The figure was coming closer, Charlie didn't know what she could do, there was really nowhere else to go.
"All I have to do is find my gun, and I'm free...hopefully." Charlie begged her eyes to adjust to the darkness, but it just wasn't happening. There was no light what so ever. "If you won't tell me who you are, will you at least tell me where I am, maybe, or what's going on." Charlie spoke up, her normal sass slowly returning.
Just then, the whole room was flooded with so much light, she had to cover her face just so she wouldn't go blind. "I could, but that just ruin everything, now wouldn't it." the man said with a fake tone as if he was talking to a child.
After a minute or two, Charlie's eyes started to get used to the sudden light. She looked around, and although she still didn't know where she was, everything came back to her like a wrecking ball. The Dollar Store, Cash, being inside WICKED, being knocked out, everything.
"Why would you do this, Cash? What did I ever do to you?" Charlie asked, desperate to know why all of this was happening.
"You did everything to me. But that's not important right now, all you need to do is not make a sound."
