I woke up alone in bed with my head throbbing. Was this really my new life? A life with a complete stranger.
Last night's events rushed back in my mind. His kiss. His touch. I loved being wanted.
The door suddenly opened.
"Good. You're awake," He said without any expression on his face.
I didn't answer.
"You'll be serving me now. I hope you didn't think otherwise," He barked impatiently.
"I'll just change," I said.
"No! Just wear that," He pulled me out of bed and down to the kitchen.
Alex asked me to make him the best meal I could and I tried my best. In the orphanage, they always liked my cooking, it was the only thing they noticed about me.
"I really hit the jackpot with you!" Alex's voice was too loud.
"Thank you," was all I can say.
I was washing the dishes when his hands crept up on my hips. My heart was pounding fast. His tongue on my neck.
"Alex. Couldn't I just use the other room? Please." I begged him. I just needed a little privacy. My own space.
"No." His hands were now on my stomach.
"Please Alex," I begged again.
"Look Erin! You follow my orders and you are forbidden to enter that room!" He was so angry that the glass in his hand shattered into pieces. I knew right then that I should never mess with his patience.
I was too scared to say anything so I just nodded.
"One more thing Erin. Don't even think about escaping. Even if you get out of here, I'll still find you. I'll hunt you down," He was so serious that my body shivered.
The entire morning, all I did was clean his room. It was too messy and I couldn't stand it.
"I'm going out to take care of something. Stay here and remember what I said!" I heard his footsteps down the stairs and the door opened and closed. He was now gone.
I knew he said he'd hunt me down and I really don't know where I am at the moment so escaping was out of the question.
I was already done cleaning his room and I have nothing to do. Suddenly the thought of the other room popped in my mind. I was never a good follower. I always got into trouble.
I knew he wouldn't know if I sneaked in the forbidden room. I just wanted to see what was inside. I had to.
I felt excitement as I got closer to the door. I knew it was dangerous but I was already in danger no matter what.
My hand was an inch away from the door knob when a body hit me and crashed me into the wall. The impact was so strong and it could crush my bones.
"Who are you and why are you sneaking in my room?!" A voice growled.
