Jealousy?

"Why?" I was overwhelmed by the information given to me.

"We won't be followed there. Its the one place they'll never expect us to go," Alex said keeping his head down.

"You're doing this for me," I said as I took Alex's hands in mine. "You don't have to. I won't be a burden to you! I won't allow it!" I raised my voice to let him know I meant it.

"You don't really have a choice. We're going whether you like it or not," He said as he stood up heading for the door.

"Alex!" I called after him.

"Erin, please do this for me. I can't let anything bad happen to you," I knew the words he said were sincere. I couldn't say no to him.

We ate lunch in some diner without uttering a single word to each other. I hated this. I wanted to hear their voices! I wanted to be comforted by their presence. 

I kept my head down trying to stop myself from crying. Suddenly, I felt Alex's arm around me.

"I'm sorry. I won't be too quiet again," He whispered in my ear.

I just had to smile. Alex knew exactly what I wanted. I was about to kiss his cheek when I noticed Sam glaring at me. What was his problem? Its really hard to believe that he cares about me by the way he's acting!

We finished eating and I avoided Sam's stare the whole time.

"We should probably get going," Alex said as he rose from his seat.

"Go check outside if anyone has followed us," Sam ordered his brother.

"I'm older you know. Don't boss me around like that," Alex joked.

"Whatever," 

Alex left while whistling a happy tune and I was about to follow when Sam caught my arm.

"We need to talk," It wasn't a request.

He dragged me into the bathroom without anyone noticing since this place wasn't really a crowd favorite. He took me inside a stall and locked the door.

"What do you want?!" I said irritated. I still can't forget the fact that he told me I was a mistake!

"What's with you and my brother?!" He asked leaning closer to me.

My heart beat picked up its pace and I wondered if he could hear it.

"That's none of your business Sam!" I answered.

He got closer with only an inch separating us. What is he doing?

"It is! Now tell me!" There was anger in his eyes.

"Are you jealous?" I managed to blurt out.

He was surprised by my answer. After a while though, he just laughed.

"You really think that Erin?" I was hurt by his words.

I didn't answer anymore. It was clear he was making fun of me!

"Just stay away from me Sam!"

"You can't tell me what to do my dear," He whispered in my ear and an electric shock went throughout my body. "I'll have my way with you sooner or later," He added. Then, He was gone.
