Chapter five, sunshine

Johnnys p.o.v.

We woke up in the lot Pony turned to me wide eyed and said "Darry is going to kill me for being out all night." "Its alright Pony im sure he'll understand that we both just dropped off." "Yea but what if he yells at me." "He won't." I said before standing up then holding out my hand to help him. We walked back to his house and there was green pankackes on the kitchen table when we got there, "so i'm guessing Soda made breakfast today?" "Yup I sure did." Soda answered me happily.  "Hey Pony, next time couldya not stay out all night?" "Sure thing Darry." "Thanks Pony."  "Hey guys im gonna go home." I said in a small voice "Johnny why don't you stay for breakfast?" "No thats ok, thanks Darry" "No really, we want you to stay." Pony spoke up "well alright then." I shrugged. After breakfast I took a nap, and in my dream my parents screamed at me and hit me untill I couldnt take it and finally just killed myself. I woke up with a scream remembering the glass in my face yesterday. Pony was by my side in the time it took me to sit up "whats wrong Jhonnycake?" "Dreamed about home." I said with an attempted smile I failed though and instead teared up, Pony sat down on the couch next to me, and put his arms around me, I put my head on his shoulder and he started to sing very softly. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please dont take my sunshine away."
