The city! Finally! It is exactly the way I had imagined...is what I would have said if I actually had ever done that. Because I never did. Ever.
The city of the lost Atlantis...who would say it's full of actual houses, similar to the ones in ancient Greece but more...evolved. There was some kind of technology too. What, you thought they were cavemen? No. They do know what fire is. Even though they decide not to use it. They say fire is what turned humans into what they are today -beasts. Because fire was the beginning of most inventions, as well as bombs, nuclear wars etc. How do they know this stuff since they have been lost for thousands of years? They don't. I do. They just know fire will lead them to self destruction...wise people. But they don't know that it can also lead to the Internet, the microwave and all these great inventions that led humanity to obesity and lack of human interaction...basically inventions that took away the real meaning of our lives. Some of us, including me when I was on Earth, don't even have a life. To those of you who relate to this last thing that I said: I'm really sorry.
And yes, I've been talking with a sarcastic tone from the beginning of this chapter. These people have taken the right direction from the very beginning. And when I say the very beginning, I mean the time they left Earth and all the humans running around it. Now you're going to say: 'It wasn't their choice to be sank into the Bermuda Triangle'. Yes. But still, they did. That's a good start. The result is what matters. At least that's what Greeks say.Heather was very impressed by the new environment -
Hey, I didn't finish sharing my thoughts with the readers.
Oh, I'm sorry. But, you know...I'm the narrator of the story.
Yeah, and I'm the protagonist. Get out of here. This is my story.Where was I? Yes, I was saying how much humanity sucks. Let's continue by describing the city. So, the buildings are very different and, no matter how hard to believe for a world with no fire and technology...they are very beautiful buildings. All of them white, no windows. But I am almost certain that there are no roofs. If you're wondering what happens when it rains...I'm with you, pal. In actual fact, if anyone told me that it doesn't rain here I wouldn't be surprised. I also wouldn't be surprised if they told me that they don't eat food, and that they just absorb energy from the crystals. In this case I would gently get the hell out of here and go back to Earth to find a microwave and eat actual food like an actual human being.
The night is falling. And if you take a glimpse of the sky, you will see ten times more stars than the ones you see on Earth. But this is not the beautiful part. There is no moon. There are moons. Two of them. The one is light blue and the other one is white with a couple rings around it. And no, this still is not the beautiful part.
Besides the starts and the moons, what actually catches your attention from the very beginning is the galaxy -yes I said galaxy- behind the two moons. So many lights, so many colors...it's paradise. Not the Andromeda kind of paradise...but the closest mortals can get to it without dying. Or in my case, actually going there in person.
You would see lights everywhere around the city turning on, one by one, out of every house, blue lights. I'm pretty sure it's from the crystals. Wow, imagine how much more magical the lights and the sky will be when it gets even darker.
While walking through all the Atlanteans there, in order to get to...I still don't know where, I start observing them one by one. Oh look. They do too. They are all staring at me.
"Wasn't this crystal thing supposed to help me somehow? They are all staring at me." I tell Daròn.
"Trust me. If it weren't for the 'crystal thing' they wouldn't just be staring at you."
