I gave him a confused look and he started to explain, "I have been looking for Lyra all night and finally found her." I was still confused so he went on. "Lyra is one of the smaller constellations that we can see from here. At the start of Lyra is the star Vega, one of the brightest stars and the closest, and ends one above M57."
He pointed up to the sky and to a bright star in the sky, "That is Vega and the top of Lyra." We spent the next hour looking at constellations and Blake would tell me about them when we found them. I checked the time and told him I had to go back to the trailer so we stood up and walked back together.
"So how did you learn so much about the stars?" I asked him while stepping over a fallen tree with Midnight right behind me.
He looked up from the ground, "It was one of the things my father would do with me after work when I was younger. Now he just works all the time."
"My mom loved the stars, so the stars are a big part of the family." I glanced toward him when he didn't reply.
"I have heard a lot about Mrs.King. She sounds like a great person to know." He said after a little bit of silence.
I looked down and smiled softly, "She was a great person from what I have learned from my brothers. Liam said she used to grow flowers in her garden just so she could hand them out to people in the hospital. Mom would take bags and bags of fresh baked cookies and brownies to the local orphanages and the homeless shelters." Blake stopped for a second before he continued walking.
"I heard your brother is getting married in September. Why is he still living at home?" He mentioned after a few minutes of silence.
"He is having a house built for the two of them as a wedding present. Tina doesn't know about it yet, so don't tell her." We laughed together but the sound of silence soon took over. It wasn't an uncomfortable or awkward, it was a peaceful silence. The sound of the crickets and frogs surrounded us.
We finished the walk back out of the woods but Blake stopped me before we got back to the trailer. "Hey, do you maybe want to go out and get some lunch with me tomorrow?" I gave him a soft smile before I answered him.
"Sure. That would be nice. Just make sure none of my brothers hear about this." He laughed and we said goodbye before heading to our separate trailers.
