Y/N was still grinning wider than the Cheshire Cat when she walked through her front door, greeted by her father reading. "Oh, there you are." He looked up at her and smiled.

Her smile was  instantly wiped off her face, and she stared at the ground. "Dad-, I mean sir, I'm sorry that I was home late, I-I, he-he was just so scared and-."

"Y/N," Her father interrupted, standing up. "you don't have to apologize for anything. I know I can be scary, a lot, but that doesn't mean I don't love you. Understand?"

Her face pulled into a shaking smile. "Yes sir, thank you, sir."

He smiled back at her. "Alright, go ask Millie if you want to watch a movie." She nodded, and went into her room she shared with her sister.

"So, how was your date?" Millie's voice reached Y/N's ears. The older girl turned to see her sister sitting on her bed, playing on her phone!

"Hey, give that back!" She snatched it out of her sister's hands; "How stupid are you to leave your phone with her?!"  "I told you not to go on it. What were you doing anyway?"

"I was texting your second boyfriend." The little girl said innocently, playing with her bear.

"My what?!" Y/N was mortified.

"Your other boyfriend, duh! The first one's Evan, and the second one is the cool one with the glasses."

"Okay, A: He is not my boyfriend, B: Jared is anything but cool!" She said, panicking as she read through the text Millie sent.

A smile crept onto the girl's face. "So Evan's your boyfriend then?"

Y/N groaned, and read over the texts again. Thankfully, Millie wasn't that stupid to say that it was her and not Y/N talking.

"What's been going on with Connor Murphy?"

Y/N shut her eyes and sighed. "Millie, you shouldn't be listening to that stuff."

Her sister glared. "It's not my fault you make a big scene out of it."

The older girl took in a sharp breath, and rubbed her temples. "I'm sorry, you know we can't all be kids like you."

"I'm not a kid, I'm-!"

"Approximately seven and a month old. Yes, thank you for telling me for the hundredth time!" She couldn't help but raise her voice.

Millie still glared. "You don't have to be so mean about it."

Y/N bit her lip to not keep fighting. Instead, she sighed. "Alright, just... do you want to watch a movie or not?"

Her sister's face lit up. "Can we watch Cinderella?"

She smiled. "Of course."

With that, Millie dashed out of their room, and left Y/N alone.

Sighing, she opened her phone, and dialed Zoe's number.

"Hey,"

"Oh my gosh, you're alive!" Y/N said, obviously joking.

Zoe laughed. "I don't know what you mean by that."

She panicked. "Oh no! I-I didn't mean-I didn't think-!"

"Hey, hey, Y/N, chill out. Sorry, I didn't mean to put you on the spot."

"No, that's okay, I'm sorry."

She heard a laugh. "You and that Evan kid are a lot alike."

Y/N froze. "What's that supposed to mean?"
