Alright, real quick, I know that the picture is new, and that this will be the only time I'll ever use a picture for this fanfic. The picture is really only supposed to show the relationship between Y/N and Millie at the end of the chapter. Finally, if you know what movie this picture comes from: You are amazing!

(Please excuse the shameless title, I love that song, and Josh Groban could sing the ABCs at my funeral, and I'd be happy.)

For the first time in months, Y/N L/N woke up without jumping out of bed and rushing to the kitchen. Instead, she smiled and pulled herself up and out of her bed. With a content sigh, she looked over to her sister's bed to wake her up; she wasn't there.

Shrugging her shoulders, the teen walked out of her room and into the living room, expecting Millie to be there; she wasn't even at the TV. Y/N frowned in confusion, and walked into the kitchen, only to find a new note attached to the fridge. She took it off, and read it carefully.

Dear Y/N,
When you find this, don't panic. If you're late for school, just know that I called in telling them that you may or may not be there today. I don't know how much homework you got done last night, but I think you might just need one more day off. Still, I'm not stopping you from going. I'll see you tonight for dinner.
Love, dad.
P.S. I'm still expecting you to pick Millie up from school.

Y/N finished all of her home work the night before, but the beginning of the note didn't help her calm down one bit. But the more she got to thinking, what's the worst thing that could happen if she skipped one day of school?

"You'd be running away from Evan."

The girl stared at the floor, as her conscious was right. She couldn't run away from him forever; but then again, the moment they would for more than a minute, Y/N knew that they would never be the same again.

She looked down at her watch; 9:55. She missed the only class with Evan, but she'd also miss the class with most of her friends by the time shed arrive. Still, the girl changed into her clothes, ate a small breakfast, packed her bag, and left the house.

...

The two most memorable things that happened that day were: 1. Angelica, Eliza  and Peggy Schuyler almost got into s fight with the two remaining Heather, but was luckily stopped by Principle Washington; and 2. It was the fourth time that Zoey Murphy didn't show up to school that year.

Throughout the day, Y/N, Martha, and Veronica tried calling or texting her for answers, but she would never answer back. Until it was the end of the day, and Y/N's phone rang as she was packing her backpack. Without looking at the number, she answered.

"Hello-." "Before I say anything, I just need you to know that this says between only us, okay?"

The girl faltered at Zoey's tone; but she nodded. "Y-yeah, I get it."

She heard a sob on the other end. "E-Evan, he made the whole thing up."

Even though Y/N knew exactly what Zoey meant, she had to ask. "Wh-what? What did he m-make up?"

"Y/N, everything he said about Connor being his friend. Everything we thought we didn't know about him; it was all just big one lie!" She cried softly.

Y/N's hand that held her phone trembled. "I-I-I never knew, he-he never said-!"

"I know you or the entire project had no idea about it. He said it was all him, and this is the only time I'll ever believe him again." She sighed. "Look, if Martha, Veronica, or even Heather asks why I wasn't here, just tell them my grandpa died or something."
