i have been messing with this story and Ive been kind of afraid to post it because it is so cliche. i only started writing it because i had nothing better to do and i really could not sleep one night. i ended up writing like the first four chapters. i don't know if this has anything to do with my writing but i was extremely tired by the time i was done. Anyways, i realized i was having a lot of fun writing it. so enjoy and tell me if i should keep it or bump it.

Storm:
I looked around the pack meeting for my best friend, Jack. No where. Well, darn.
"Who are you lookin' for?" I jumped about three feet in the air when I heard him behind me.
"What the heck?" I yelled turning around. " Jack you have a death wish don't you?"
"Its not my fault my high and mighty wasn't very observant. You still haven't answered my question though."
" Who do you think I was looking for?"
"Sarcastic much?"
"excuse me? I have been looking every where for you!"
"See? Not very observant." He reprimanded.
Me and Jack have been best friends birth. Cliché right? Our parents are best friends so getting stuck together at family cook-outs your whole life a person starts to grow on you.
In our pack, since we are werewolf s, we have a certain way of showing, or deciding who will be the next alpha. The same goes for beta. We have these competitions to see who is next in line to be alpha. Be have to fight every male in the pack who chooses to compete. When me and jack hit puberty and did our first shift together we decided to compete. Much to our mothers displeasure, our fathers were just proud that their sons were such men. To make a long story short we won. I am now next in line to be alpha and jack is next in line to be beta. At thirteen we had made our destiny. To protect and rule our pack, our family.
Now at the age of 23, Jack and I need to start our own family, as tradition goes. The only thing is finding my mate. When we meet our mate we have to be in human form to be one hundred percent sure. The reason is that only if we are in human form will we get the mark clamming each other as true mates. They are identical to each other. Binding us for life.
"Hey, Storm? Anyone in there?" Jack waving his hand in my face woke me from my reminiscence.
"sorry, just thinking." I looked at him for a second then remembered why I was looking for him.
"Jack, why was this emergency meeting pulled together?" he smiled when I asked him this.
Well my good friend we are going to meet a legend!" he was quite frankly, shaking from excitement by this point. I wouldn't be surprised if he shifted on accident from all this excitement.
"If we are just meeting some one why didn't alpha just come out and tell us instead of freaking us out with an emergency meeting?"
All the excitement drained from his face when he started to think about this.
"Thats what I was thinking to, but after talking with alpha I do know now though."
"Oh, another thing, he wants to talk to you." Thats nothing new. Me and jack have been taking more responsibilities in the pack to kind of prepare us for when the alpha and beta step down formally.
"why? Is there another problem?"
"No. Actually its kind of good news. He and beta are ready to step down." that wasn't expected.
" I thought they wanted to wait a few more years for us to gain experience."
"Thats what I thought. Anyway he wants to do it at the end of the meeting. He thinks with his particular visitor coming its the perfect opportunity."
Jack knew how to cover his feelings well since learning he was going to be beta, but I could tell he was scared. Well not really scared but mostly nervous. I know I am. We are about to be the head of a very large pack. Lives will depend on us.
"Jack. We are ready for this. We have support if we need it. The elders will still be here to help us. Don't worry about it. Now who is unexpected visitor and so called legend?"
"Storm, you have no idea" he said animated now with a look of awe in his eye.
"You know that nomad everyone's afraid of?" Realization of what he was saying hit me like a ton of bricks.
"The white wolf?" It couldn't be, impossible.
He got a sly smile on his face.
"The one and only."
