Madeleine:

The house we bought was a little picturesque style cottage with four bedrooms and three baths. Its perfect because it had two master bedrooms instead of one and its totally secluded high up in the mountains. Its about twenty minutes from the closest town.

We were just pulling up to the house and I can honestly say the pictures on the escalators web site didn't do this house justice. The place was amazing. A classic cottage. Flowers everywhere and had a little hole in the wall door and windows to match. It even has a little dirt and cobble stone drive way! It would be a tight fit for our two cars but tis just an amazing sight. I fell in love with the place and so did Juli.

I got out of my Lexis and decided to look around our property which consisted of about 12 acres of thick forest. I walked around to the back of the house and found the most gorgeous garden. The closest thing I could compare it to is Meryl Streep's gardening her movie 'its complicated'. Juli is going to flip when she sees this garden. Shes the one with the green thumb of the two of us.

"Holy Crud Sickles!! This garden is sick!"

What did I say?

"I know isn't it amazing?!"

We started jumping up and down holding hands, giggling the whole time like maniacs.

"Best part is its way up in the mountains."

I couldn't help but point out. We are about 20 minutes from the closest town.

"I know! Did you see the waterfall?"

"what the heck! Theres a waterfall?"

Could this get any better?

Juli started nodding furiously.

"Seriously! Where?"

"Up that trail." She said pointing up to what looked like a little rabbit trail.

I started walking up it and after about two minutes I could start to hear faint trickling of water off somewhere ahead on the trail so I continued. I walked up a little incline and stopped right in my tracks. There was the waterfall. It wasn't big but I could see my self sitting for hours with a book just enjoying it. Its perfect. As I was walking back I added a wooden swing to my mental list of things needed for the house. It would be perfect for by the waterfall.

When I got back I looked at my watch as I reached Juli who was still inspecting the garden.

"Wow! Juli its late we better start unpacking."

"Alright."

We walked to the front side of the house and were just standing at the front door. Both of us too nervous to open it.

"Oh hell. Juli just give me the darn key ill do it."

I took the key and inserted it into the lock turning it slowly. The door swung open and we stepped inside.

To the right is a small living room and on the left is the kitchen and dinning room. In the middle of the two rooms, across the room, was a small hallway that to the back of the cottage were the bedrooms are. In the living room there are sliding wood doors that lead to an office for both me and Juli. Through the kitchen were French doors that led to the back patio and garden. It is small but absolutely perfect for just the two of us.
