Madeleine:
I'm in town to send the rough draft of my latest book to my editors. If its approved by my editors then its off to publishing then finally releasing. I'm nervous, yet excited. I always get this way about a book. Juli actually read it and said it was good. So it can go both ways.
I was walking into the door of the post office when I ran into a hard wall of muscle.
"Ooph! I'm so sor-sorry" this guy is HOT!
"Hi and its okay you looked a little preoccupied. I'm mike by the way. And you are?" He has good teeth too.
"Hi! I'm Madi, I just came to mail something." Gosh I'm an idiot! Why else would you be at the post office? To get your teeth cleaned!
"Ha ha. I figured that. But I must admit I ran into you on purpose."
"Why would you do that?"
"Well I thought it would give me a better chance of you agreeing to get coffee with me once your done here."
"Aw! Thats sweet! I would love to."
"Great! Theres a cafe just around the corner." He gave me his number and I have to say I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot. You would to if you could see how hot that piece of man meat is. Wow. I just realized how cliche that was. Now hes not that hot. Darn. If I'm going to meet a guy I want it to be original.
"Thank you. I just have to say though that im not looking for a relationship or a fling. I just want friendship." Sure hes really good looking and all but hes not my true mate. I'm not one of those girls who settle. I want the real thing. Not some fake imitation of it.
"Thats fine. I like friends. Here is the name of the cafe." He said handing me a piece of paper.
I walked into the post office and got in line. I made a friend. While I was there I figured I might as well get the mail while I'm at it. As I was flipping through the mail I found a letter. Its a letter from Luna. Oh my gosh! I a going to have to tell Juli.
Luna is about twelve. She was just about two years old when we ran away but Juli and I made it a point to keep in contact with her. We see her as a little sister or a daughter even. When we were in our last foster home before we ran away Juli was assigned to us for us to take care of her since there were so many kids at this foster home. We fell in love with her immediately. It seems though that she decided to follow in our footsteps and runaway also. This is the fifth time she has tried to run away. I cant take this anymore. I'm going to talk to Juli about her coming to stay with us. The only thing thats stopping us is that Luna doesn't know we are wolves and shes going to have to find out if she comes to live with us.
I finally found the coffee shop and there mike was at a table by the window with two coffees. I walked up to him and sat in the chair with my back to the window.
"Hey! Sorry it took so long, how are you?"
Storm:
I was walking down town with jack on our way to a pack meeting and we were talking when out of the corner of my eye I see the most gorgeous long brown hair. I turned and looked in the window of the cafe and there she was. The only thing different was she was with a guy. From the look on his face they were having a good time too. Unfortunately I couldn't see her face because her back was turned toward me.
"Storm! Lets go! We're going to be late!"
"Yeah, sure." I said trying to hold my disappointment.
(Pack Meeting.)
"Pack, we have an emergency." I announced.
Perfect. Just what I need on an already suckish day. I hate to have to do this. Who likes giving bad news? This isn't a routine pack meeting either. This is a very serious one and you can just feel the tension in the room as if it were a fog clouding our minds with worry. When really, there is no need for it.
