~ So this chapter has somewhat of a flashback to the day everyone loves to hate in the YJ universe: June 20th, 2016. I'm truly sorry ahead of time for the tears, cause I personally cried so hard after watching the finale. That's why I wrote this book: to bring him back and to hope that this is somewhat of the path S3 will take, with WW's return. Just stay whelmed, and be prepared now, cause I probably went a little too far into my fan love. ~

Artemis was in the Watchtower, eating lunch, when Flash walked over, his hands holding a toppling platter of food. He said, "I know this is really hard, Artemis, but I'm just as worried about my nephew as you are about your love. I got a call earlier on my cell, from the facility, that said the two weeks of absolute silence and loneness were complete. I was going to go later to see Wally, and I think it would be good if you came along as well. They told me they've got him eating more and talking in small increments of time, but he's still pretty emotional and he hasn't had a temper spill in a week. They're giving him speedster sized doses of Xanax, to help calm his nerves, his anger, and his mind, when he does get into a rage. They've also started group therapy and counselling, to help talk out the problems with his mindset." Artemis replied, "Flash, I'm so scared to go there. I'm scared everything is spinning out of control, and there's no way I can stop the ride. I feel like if I were to go, see, and talk with him, that I might break more. I only want him back." "Is that all you want, Artemis, really?", Flash questioned softly. Artemis answered, "No, that's not all. I want the team to talk to me again. Ever since I spoke with them before he left, they were mad that I didn't tell them he punched you. They were siding with Nightwing, who apparently, is no longer on the side of friendship with Wally. Before it...happened...Wally told me he and Nightwing had a disagreement about Aqualad's loyalty to the team, and my part in the war against Black Manta and the Light. What if...he doesn't know me still?" "Stop that nonsense talk, Artemis. First, there are no 'what ifs' when time is practically in in my hands. If there were, there are a lot of things I would repeatedly do and question about my life growing up. Secondly, I got word that Batman was able to convince them to let him in, so he's been quizzing Wally on the team's names. The only thing, is that he still hasn't gotten to telling him about you and he, so he will be unaware of your relationship. I think he's hoping to leave that part up to you, since we all know Bats doesn't exactly do 'sweet, lovey dovey stuff'.", Flash snickered lightly, at the last comment. Artemis sighed, then answered, "Okay, I guess I could go see Walls. It's been two weeks and hopefully, I'm ready." Flash grinned, then dug into his platter of food, stacked higher than the rest of everyone's in the room. After lunch, Artemis wandered down to the Hall of Justice, and began looking around. She saw the statues of the seven original members of the League, standing tall and looking proud with dedication. Along the walls, were memorabilia and news articles, displaying some of the greatest feats the League had done. One section of the Hall, Artemis saw, was dedicated to the original Kid Flash. Although there was no giant statue, there was an article that was titled, "Gone In A Flash: The Death of Kid Flash". As the blonde read the article, she began to tear up. Although now the article was a lie, it still gave the details described by the team and Nightwing, as they watched Wally get zapped into the unknown universe. Now, that 'unknown universe', was what Flash referred to as the Speedforce. Reading aloud, Artemis read,

"The Flash's young protégée, known to the world as Kid Flash, has tragically died. Recently, the Justice League learned there was a group of violators, known as the Reach, that were causing trouble, and hoping to draw the people closer to their desires and under their power. The League went to investigate the incident, and learned as well, that several Reach made devices were implanted all around the world. When released, these devices would launch a power surge and would create destruction for the Earth. All around, the League and their protégées, whom are called The Team, were going and fixing the situations. Teaming up alongside Lex Luthor and his company, the League was able to eliminate all the devices, except for one, located in the Arctic. Since it was difficult for anyone to get to the Arctic, the League sent Flash and his newest Flash family member, Impulse, to stop the effect, before it blew. Even with their speed, they arrived too late, and watched the device emerge into a supposedly unstoppable, upside down tornado of mass wind and destruction. Getting the idea from Atom and Luthor, Flash and Impulse began to run around the twister, in the opposite direction, hoping to create a suction that would halt the problem, but even with their speed, they didn't have enough kinetic energy created from their running, to solve the problem. Supposedly, though I have no real knowledge of the truth, Kid Flash saw his mentor and Impulse failing to stop the device. He went in, and ran to the Arctic, joining his mentor and Impulse, in the stopping of the twister. They all did what they could, and it appeared to be working, but was still not stopping. Kid Flash gave a push of extra speed into the job, and that increase, began to repeatedly cause himself to be hit with loose energy, flowing from the device. As each strike grew more extensive, the young speedster, began to evaporate into nonexistence. He pushed, until he couldn't go anymore, and was taken in a cloud of ash. By the time Kid Flash had disappeared, the twister began to slowly go down. It stopped, and the Flashes took a heaving gasp for breath, but without Kid Flash anywhere in sight. The legacy of Kid Flash lives on. He leaves behind a painfully shattered girlfriend, and two families that loved him to his last breath. May we all, on this day in history, remember the sacrifice Kid Flash gave, to save our world from certain doom and destruction."

Her tongue finishing the last word, Artemis regained her stance. She was going to go see Wally, so she had to be positive, and play the part like she wasn't worried for him. She had to know he was fine, and she was happy he was alive with her, and not dead, like the article and the Team had previously thought.
