By the time Artemis and Flash had gotten back to the Watchtower, it gave the tall blonde female time to think about the key to reinstating Wally's memories with the Team. If she could find a way to trigger the memories, like the kiss did for their relationship coming back, then she could give Wally back all his memories of the Team together, and especially with Nightwing.  Upon returning the Bioship to M'gann, who was back in the kitchen making some crab cakes for La'gaan, since she had broken up with him, and had come back, flying to Conner, Artemis  then ran for the break room, and found Nightwing busy on his computer, determining the next choice of training sequences to work the younger heroes through. She opened the door to the room, and said, "Nightwing, he remembered me. Wally remembered me." The dark, black and blue dressed hero replied solemnly and plainly, not looking up from the screen, "Nice. Now if he could get everything under control, things would be like they were in the olden days." Growing mad with Nightwing's solemn reply, because it seemed obvious that he didn't really care, even though it was about his best friend, Artemis stomped over, and closed the computer screen down loudly, saying with an irritated tone, "Dick Grayson, I seriously don't understand what is wrong with you! You are unoblivious to the fact that your best friend asked for you, when Flash and I went to see him! I had to lie, for you, to him, because you never dared to show that blue eyed face of yours to him! He remembered me, Dick! He was generating blue lightning for heaven's sakes! Are you so dumb to even realize how much your best friend missed you? You were the first person he remembered, and wanted to see. When I told him you didn't show, he later remembered me. We laughed. He told Flash and I about how things are going. Wally and I kissed, Dick, and you have no self-respect to realize how important a step this is for us all! He's getting better!" "No Artemis, you don't understand. There is no possible way a single kiss could bring back Wally's memories. All of that, is just not true. There is no true love's kiss will break the spell. We aren't in a storybook and we aren't fictional characters in a TV show or movie. We are real people with no happy ending. You should know happy endings never come. You've seen it all before. I've seen it all before. This imaginary story you made up, is just that. It's imaginary, and therefore, not a true point in time.", Nightwing commented harshly. Artemis asked, her voice growing cold, "Where'd your belief in magic and true love go, Dick? Did it die when Zatanna left you for the League? When she betrayed your trust as friends? When she dumped you for some rookie hotshot magician in New York City, of all places? You both used to be close, and heck, you didn't even see ahead, that she was going to kiss you on that New Years day, five years ago! You were supposed to be the detective, Dick, and you never saw that kiss coming or how much she wanted to tell you how she felt." Nightwing snapped, "Don't you dare talk about Zatanna in that way! She and I may have had our differences, but she was someone that was excellent with her abilities. She deserved to go to the League early, and join her father on the ride for justice." Artemis quipped, "Sounds like you're a jealous bird, Dick. You're jealous that every member on this team, has found their special someone. You're jealous that Zatanna gets special favors, just because her father became Dr. Fate, when the helmet needed a host! You're jealous of Wally and I, and the fact that we got a second chance at this. If anything, you're probably jealous of even Conner and M'gann!" Nightwing replied, with a snarky attitude, "I am not jealous of anyone or anything, Artemis Lian Crock! I have the world's greatest hero, as my mentor! I have the freedom and much better training than you all ever had! I've been training since I was nine, while you were with your stupid family of assassins, and just got a lucky chance to be a hero! You've never lost anyone you love so much, that you would dream of being with them, doing exactly what they are doing. You've never lost the only people that mean the world to you. You didn't lose your parents when some psychotic idiot decided to kill, just because of your father resisting to pay some 'safety fee'." Artemis sighed, taking a deep breath and letting it out, then said calmly, "No, I may not know that kind of feeling, but I lost my father and sister to the Light, when they had a choice. Dick, all I'm asking you, is as a friend, as Wally's best friend, for you to please believe me this once. I know I lied in the past about my bloodline, but that's all behind me and us. I am not my family. You yourself told me that, when I revealed the truth. I am not some deranged assassin, working for the Light, like them. I am a team member, and I deserve to be where I am. I earned my way, all on my own. Now, I don't want to have to do this, but if you don't go see Wally freely, I'm going to have to ban you from ever coming near he and I again, got it? Banning you, I'm hoping you'll at least feel some bit of regret in that cold, leader heart of yours, and come back to at least talk with him, because he is your best friend. Though, I would think you, the famous Flying Grayson that you are, would have enough intelligence and dignity, to lower yourself from your high hero throne, and go see your best friend, who is mentally hurt and doesn't even know who you really are, as that best friend that you could share anything with." Turning on her heels, Artemis stomped out of the room, letting the door slam as she left.

*So I'm really sorry for making Dick sound like the bad guy in this chapter, but I assure you, he will have a very big part in the finale of the book, so stay tuned. I just felt that there needed to be a full blown out argument about their backgrounds and life stories in the book somewhere between Artemis and Dick, because they are the only 'full' humans in the show, and they aren't really given much screen time together. Plus, I personally find they are both very dominant figures, so having them cross in a fight is kinda fun for me. Also, did you catch my little drawback to who they really are, as just characters in a show, but who are totally asterous ones at that?! I'm gonna leave you at this, and hope for the best.
