Nightwing reopened his computer, and continued working, as though he hadn't been disturbed. After leaving the room, Artemis began to talk to herself, muttering words of hatred for Nightwing. When did he once ever think of someone's needs before his own? The blonde knew Wally needed his best friend right at the moment, to be the encouragement, but since they had drifted, the gap between Nightwing and Wally was farther apart, than the Great Barrier Reef. Walking into the practice room, and seeing Beast Boy, Bart wearing his Kid Flash suit, and some of the other younger heroes, Artemis got a plan into her brain. If Nightwing wasn't going to move from his rock with Artemis telling him to, why not let the younger kids trick him into doing it? They were innocent, and were very difficult to refuse. "Hey BB, Bart, could you two come here please?" Beast Boy ran over, his monkey tail trailing behind him, and Bart ran up as well, beating the shapeshifter. Both asked, upon arriving, "Yeah Tigress?" The blonde replied, "First, please don't resort to the old plan, when we thought Wally was dead. It's Artemis still, and always will be. Second, I need you two to do me a favor. I need you to convince Nightwing to go see Wally. He won't listen to me, and is ignoring every pull towards actually going. I know Wally needs Nightwing there, but the proud Bird, is just as stubborn as his mentor." Bart snickered, then burst out laughing at the comment. Beast Boy grinned, his doglike teeth pristine white, against his green skin and fur. The shapeshifter replied, "Sure thing, Artemis. He's always kinda easy going on us, considering our family is a part of the original team. I'm sure we could talk him into going." Artemis nodded, then said, "Good. It's the only way for them to mend what was lost." Turning away from the boys, the blonde began to walk to her room. She desperately needed sleep, and since Beast Boy and Bart were taking care of Nightwing, Artemis wanted to make sure that if she went back, she'd be in good condition to talk with Wally some more, even if they had only had one spark of memory. Retiring to her bed, the blonde didn't even change clothes, but fell asleep on her bed, her com lying on the table beside her. It was about halfway through the night though, when Artemis got a loud beeping call, coming from her com. She sat up, rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and reached over to her com. Putting the com in her ear, she mumbled, "Artemis. Reporting." Flash's frantic voice filled the com, and he replied, his words blending together, "Artemis! You have to get up! They need you!" The blonde female growled tiredly, "Flash, what is it? What do you mean? Slow down. You're jumbling your sentences." Artemis listened, as Flash answered, "Artemis, listen to me. You have to get to the facility right now! I know it's the middle of the night, but Izzie needs you. She called me and told me Wally began acting irrational again. He's out of control, and broke loose from the facility, despite the hand cuffs and the guards. I know I can't catch him, because my speed isn't as fast as his, but she mentioned that someone close, could get him to stop! Artemis, you need to go now. He needs you to help him." Artemis asked, "How do you know you aren't fast enough, Flash?" The speedster replied, "Blue lightning is so much faster and has a deeper connection to the Speedforce, than yellow lightning does. I have yellow. Wally has blue now. He is too fast for me. Just go...save my kid. Save my nephew. Save your Baywatch." The com connection broke off, and Artemis dropped the com to the ground. Wally was out of control, and Flash thought she could do something? She didn't have speed, much less the ability to help him, when he was irrational. A second thought came to the blonde's mind. What if she couldn't save or help Wally? If she couldn't, someone else might, and they may not be as thoughtful on tactics to get him to stop, or at least slow down. Throwing some sneakers on, Artemis ran out the door, and to the nearest Zeta-tube, on the lower level. When she arrived, she slammed in her information, and was whisked off to a hidden Zeta-tube, near the facility, where her boyfriend was supposed to be. Artemis arrived, and looked around, before taking a deep breath, and running to the facility. She kicked down the entrance door, once she got to the facility, and asked, looking around, "Where is he?" Artemis caught sight of Izzie's nervous, frantic, shifting eyes, and came over to the woman. She asked calmly, "Izzie, what happened?" The woman replied shakily, "I-I thought he was fine. It was my fault. I should have second guessed my judgement. Now he's out there....running on barely anything....probably not thinking straight." Artemis responded, her voice barely above a whisper, "Don't worry, I'll find Wally. He'll listen to me. Hopefully." The blonde didn't say the second part of the sentence aloud, about him hopefully listening to her, but she certainly thought it. Gathering herself together, Artemis tried to come up with a plan. She couldn't use a trick arrow or a crossbow, considering she was in civvies, and someone might begin to piece together her life as Artemis, the hero. Maybe, if she could use the training she had seen Nightwing do a thousand times before, which included loads of spying, she could get ahead of Wally, and aim to slow him down that way. She could talk to him, using a soft, calming voice, that would ease any fears he was feeling. If talking didn't work, she could use the oldest trick in the book, that happened to be his weakness. She could use his old clumsiness, to trip him, which would cause a sputter to the ground. He'd fall, and she could be there to catch him, if he did. Although Artemis liked being the stronger of the two, she wanted to see everything go back to normal. She wanted things to be the same, because change wasn't good. Setting out from there, after a plan was devised, Artemis began to sneak and search for the missing speedster, using Nightwing like tactics, and thinking like a Bat, in an old storage unit. The blonde continued searching, then caught sight of the speedster, from her hiding spot, and gasped at the horror filled, frightened person before her. Despite being prepared to face Wally, Artemis wasn't prepared to face him as he was now being seen before her.
