The Goombo spirit's avatar stood tall, towering over Jack and Dancer. Green mossy arms accommodated an equally mossy body. Yellow eyes without pupils watched the humans closely as they approached. The spirit would have been incredible to see on his own, only to be out-shadowed by the massive green bean shaped structure he stood next to. Thick long veins stretched out from the bean and became lost in the forest they stood in, pulsating with the same light earlier found inside Dancer. It was unlike a heartbeat, something much calmer and consistent.

Jack felt the same wave of calmness wash over him in the presence of the Goombo spirit. Sunny carried Liona, keeping a slight distance away. Dancer stood next to Jack, who stood behind Haiden.

The green spirit's mouth began to part, surprising both Dancer and Jack.

"Haiden has informed me you wish to know what happened to the colonies of Bliss."

Jack shook his head in an effort to wrap his head around their situation.

"Eh, yeah. That's right. Why are you talking? I thought you'd be playing telephone with our minds through this kid again."

Goombo seemed to smile at this, "I do not control the boy. I only extend myself to him as to increase the range of my abilities. His words are his own. As for why he only speaks with his mind, that goes along with the tale I have to tell."

Dancer crossed her arms, "I'd first like to thank you, Goombo. For bringing me back to life."

Goombo looked quizzically at Dancer. "It was not I, but the boy. I gave him a piece of me to keep himself safe were he to run into trouble outside of my sanctuary. It seems he used it instead to cure you of death. What deeds he performs are of his own chose."

Dancer smiled, looking at Haiden, "It seems you're a modest little squirt, aren't you?"

The miracles I bring are only possible because of the Goombo spirit.

"So what happen to everyone Goombo?" Jack spoke up.

Grumbling, the Goombo spirit looked sadly at Haiden.

"The devils reappeared."

Jack felt his ears perk up at the words.

"Who are these Devils?"

Goombo waved his hands, "They were created in junction to me, solely to destroy all that is green life."

Jack and Dancer were surprised to find chairs made of grass and moss rise from the ground. They figured he wanted them to sit and listen to his tale. Haiden also took a seat. Sunny sat with Liona still in his arms.

"Sunny loves story time, Shepherd."

Liona purred, "You live for chances to sit, Sunny."

Goombo mumbled softly to himself, ready to begin.

"I was created as a manifestation of this planet's soul. I am the guardian of life here, protecting all green life and the good hearted," leaning forward he winked at Jack and Dancer, "That's you two. For a millennia I watched over the green life here, unwavering in my duty. Very little was here to stop me. It was only until evil found its way here I was met with true resistance. In their language they call themselves the Devils, beings who possess incredible psychic potential equal to my own. These foul beasts destroyed all I worked hard to protect, cutting my connection to the planet. Centuries passed, forced to stay in this forest where my heart, this Goombo bean was created. During this time of solitude I was storing my energy, energy that would usually be used to protect the green life. In my own last ditch effort, I was able to eradicate the Devils. Their evil can be incredibly susceptible to my gifts."
