Maka ended up waking me up after class was over. I stretched, stifling a yawn. "Did you get any sleep at all last night?" She asked me looking worried.
"Nope, I had this really weird feeling in my stomach that just wouldn't go away. But I'm fine."
"Soul, your dad just died." Kid said confused.
"And I'm glad." I said walking out of the room.
"Why?" Liz asked curiously.
"He may have appeared to be generous and nice to the public, but when it was just us, he'd yell at mom and Wes and smack me around a few times. Didn't you know? I'm the family disappointment. I didn't choose to stick with music like everyone else in our family." I muttered rolling my eyes.
"Don't say that." Tsubaki said wide-eyed.
"Well, it's true. If he was alive he'd tell you differently, just to spite me. I am so glad he's gone."
"So the funeral is in two days?" Black Star asked curiously.
"Yes, I doubt you'd want to go though. It's just going to be downright depressing and I'll be pissed at everyone because they'll only know of him as a fraud."
"Oh, so um, how are we getting there?" Liz asked.
"I assume a limo is going to come pick you guys up. I'll give the driver your addresses."
"Are you going to take a limo there?" Maka asked looking awed. She's probably never rode in a limo before. I snorted.
"Like hell I will. I'm taking my bike." Kid chuckled.
"I had a feeling you would say that. Is your house symmetrical?" How did I know he was going to ask that?
"Not really, but the garden is. My mom is OCD about symmetry too, but my old man wouldn't allow her to get carried away. She isn't as bad as you about it, but it got pretty annoying when she tried to put me in symmetrical clothes." I said shuddering. That was horrible. Liz, Patty, Tsubaki, Black Star, and Maka all laughed at this. Kid however nodded like that was something she should be doing. "What?"
"We're trying to imagine you in symmetrical clothes!" Patty said in between giggles. I snorted.
"Yeah, well they didn't stay that way for long. As soon as I got away from her, I changed them." Kid started to cry.
"How could you!?" Everyone laughed at that. I sighed in relief. I didn't want to talk about this anymore.
"So when are you leaving?" Maka just had to ask.
"Today I guess." I'm sure mom would like to see me before the funeral. I know that if I don't go, Wes is just going to keep bringing it up.
"Why?" Black Star asked frowning. I was saved from explaining by Maka using Maka Chop on him. I didn't really feel like explaining it to them. Ugh, I just wanted to get this over with.
"We'll tell Lord Death what you're doing, so go and get packed." Maka said smiling at me. I smiled back.
"Thanks, see you in a few days." I said walking out of the school. It was time for lunch, but I'm not even hungry. That guy really pisses me off. I thought as I headed towards the apartment. He couldn't even tell me about it to my face? Why the Hell even come to me about it if he can't even tell me to my face? They might be burying two bodies if I don't kill Wes in the two days before the funeral. I packed regular clothes because I'm sure Mom has some suits for me when I get there. As I moved around the apartment, the phone rang. "Hello?"
