Chapter 28 - Trust
______JANICE's POV______
I was busy eating pancakes when i heard someone shouting. It's Alex. I immediately try to stand and walk to see what's happening downstairs.
Damn this blindness! Argh. I was in the middle of walking when someone grabbed my arm.
"I'll guide you." Nina said
I dont really know where are destination is until we reached the stairs and went up. Im pretty sure that we're on our way papuntang roof top. Habang papalapit kami may naririnig akong lalaking nagtatalo or should i say nag-aaway.
"Punching me? No. Stealing my wife? Hell yeah." It's Jace.
My world stop spinning. Feeling ko bumabagal ang oras. Pakiramdam ko lalong nagdilim at nabagsakan ako angit at lupa. I didnt hear anything. Wala akong ibang naririnig kundi ang tibok ng puso ko na ngayon ay parang gusto nalang tumigil at wag nalang tumibok. Ramdam na ramdam ko yung sakit sa bawat salitang binitawan ni Jace. Kasabay ng dilim na nakikita ko ang sakit na pilit wumawasak sa puso ko. Hindi ko maintindihan ang lahat-- Mali. Naiintindihan ko ang lahat sadyang ayaw lang tanggapin ng isip ko.
Naririnig kong nagsasalita si Relle pero kahit isa sa mga sinabi niya ay walang nagsink in sa utak ko. Lahat nagloloading. Lahat nasa processing pa. Until i felt a hand caressing my shoulder.
"Listen to them. Listen how they're betraying you. Listen how much Jenrelle loves Alex. Listen to his obsession. Then try to think how desperate your fiance is just to get Alex from Jace, your cousin. Im doing this not because you're my ate. But because you're being a martyr. Are you happy to hear them? To hear how he loves Alex? Tell me." Nina said in a devilish voice.
Hindi ko siya sinagot. Mas piili kong pakinggan ang mga salitang lalabas sa bibig ni Jenrelle. Hinihintay ko ang mga salitang alam kong makakasakit sakin. Ang mga salitang alam kong unti-unting papatay sakin.
