I breathed steadily as I walked down the hallway leading to my bedroom. It's been two days since I took Trevor to see his father. Everything's been okay with the situation. I'm happy I don't have to work for a couple of more days, because it's given me more time to surround myself with Trevor and give him the attention he needs right now. Trevor has asked almost everyday has Michael gotten out of the coma and I have to continue the tale, the nurse told him. I've been strong for him and myself lately and everything seems to be moving calmly. Walking past his room I peaked in. He look sound asleep as I walked in to find his body not completely tucked in. I gripped the blanket and pulled it up to his neck and bent down to plant a kiss on his head.

"Mommy?" He whispered, as his eyes pops open. His eyebrows were pinch together and his big brown eyes were full of worry. I looked over his face,

"Yes?" I respond. "What's wrong?"

"What if daddy do not wake up?" He questions and my chest tightens. He spoke the words I hoped to never hear from his mouth. I took a deep breath as cupped his face,

"Don't speak like that." I say. "Do you hear me?" He starred at me and nodded his head. "He's sleeping, okay? That's all baby. Everything will be back to normal soon. " I reassured gliding my thumb against his right cheek. His gaze shifted to his blanket and his bottom lip began to quiver.

"I'm sorry, mommy." He said, looking at me with his eyes filling up with tears. A shiver ran up my spine and my heart softened.

"No, baby. You did nothing wrong. There's no need to cry, okay?" I say, wiping the tears from his vision. He nods his head again.

"Okay, mommy." I grin and kiss his forehead.

"Can you be a big boy for mommy and go back to sleep?" I ask. He gleamed and wiped the rest of his tears from his eyes and nods swiftly.

"Yeah." He responds and wiggled under his covers then shuts his eyes immediately, but popped them right back open. "Can I sleep with you?" He asked. I tilt my head to the left, looked at him and he pouted poking out his bottom lip. I sign in defeat and agree. He jumped from his bed and grabbed the stuffed lion his father gave him and followed me back to my room. Once there, he climbed into my bed and crawled to his fathers side. A warm feeling made its way to my heart as I got into bed. Trevor slid under the thick black blanket and looked at up me as I laid next to him. I stared into his eyes and nothing but Michaels face popped into my head. He was spitting image of his father. Same complexion, head shape, eyes, eyebrows, damn near everything. There was no escaping that man even if I wanted to.

Trevor's eyes became lazy and he shut them while snuggling his body into my chest. I wrapped my right arm over his small body and closed my eyes to let sleep settle in.

"Come out with us this Saturday!" Tristin pleaded, sitting in the kitchen at the island. I chuckled, as I put away the dishes from the dishwasher.

"Why?" I ask. "I don't need to go out right now."

"Bitch, when was the last time you had a good time!?" He questioned.

"I had a lot of good times..." I defend. My lips became caught between my teeth as I turn around and lean against the countertop.

"Bye, you coming with us. You need it anyway! Shit, Micheal can't stop you." He states, as if that shit was okay. He my friend and all but that was disrespectful as hell.

"Really..." I say with a smug look on my face. He laughed a little,

"I'm sorry, but seriously. You haven't gone out with us in a while." He confesses and he was right. I haven't been out with Tristin in months and I miss it. What's one night going to do?
