Chapter Six

I heard the beeping sound but I couldn’t open my eyes to see what it was.

I wanted to know why I couldn’t open my eyes they felt so heavy I couldn’t open them.

I heard a door open and close and a soft voice that calmed me as I recognized it was Stacy.

“Hey guys, any change” she asked.

“No the doctor said because she had so many blows to the head she could be in this coma for days or maybe weeks and would be very lucky if she hasn’t got any sort of brain damage” I heard Jake say.

Coma why was I in a coma but then it all come rushing back to me my father and the argument he basically said he wanted to kill me.

So I was in the hospital that’s what that beeping noise was at least I was somewhere safe.

But if I was in a coma how come I can think and hear. Weird.

“She will wake up she’s got to wake up” I heard a soft male voice say.

Then my heart skipped a beat literally I heard it on the machine I really hope they didn't notice because that would be embarrassing and Mr Gold would know I had that affect on him.

There was silence in the room and I was begging god that they didn't notice the machine.

“Mr Gold why don't you come get a coffee with us or come home and have a proper shower and rest instead of having them here” I heard Stacy say.

What was he here all the time? I really wanted to do a happy dance but I couldn’t so I made a note to self to do it later.

“No I don't want to leave her you guys go” I heard him say.

“El she’s not going to go anywhere an hour won’t hurt.” Jake said.

“No what if she wakes up and I'm- I mean one of us isn’t here. And I don't want her to be left alone ok I will see you two later ok” he said.

I heard a grumble but then the door opening and closing.

I knew it was just me and Mr Gold in the room I really wanted to open my eyes and see him but I couldn’t but one thing for sure was that they weren’t as heavy anymore.

I felt a warm pressure on my cheek and I knew it was his hand I wanted to sigh in content but I couldn’t.

I started to get a headache and it was hurting like mad but I blocked it out and focused on Mr Gold.

“I wish you weren’t my student Ari, and we met during different circumstances... Jesus I don't care just please wake up I need to tell you that your driving me crazy your beautiful, smart, funny, kind and I get this feeling when I'm around you and if you don't wake up I'm not going to get that feeling anymore and I miss you even if you did turn me into this jealous dick when your around Jacob or any other boys and I can’t help but feel th-” he stopped suddenly when the door opened I didn't know who it was and it was starting to freak me out.

“Hi Elliot I was just wondering if you wanted anything to eat or drink you have been in here a while and haven’t come out you must be hungry” asked a woman.

“No thank you I will get something if I become hungry” he said softly his hand left my cheek though all warmth and tingles leaving with him.

“Ok but be sure to call me or one of the other nurses if you need anything.” Replied the nurse a little too seductively if you ask me I just hope she wasn’t my nurse.

I heard the door close and a sigh and I felt him get off my bed.

I couldn’t take it any longer I cracked my eyes open to reveal bright light I blinked a few times and when I got used to the light I searched for Mr Gold and he was sitting in a chair to my left with his head in his hands his shoulders shaking slightly.
